Please read ALL information below before ordering. If you miss vital information regarding customs/postage insurance that’s on you.

If there are any bugs on the website or you have any problems, please contact me! This is the first time the site has been used publicly, so it's quite possible there'll be a few bugs.

All payments are done through Stripe. The site is fully PCCI compliant and uses SSL during checkout. Note that during the checkout the URL will change to pegasus.terrassl.net - this is nothing to worry about, this is just shared SSL. It is just as secure.

The sets

This is a proxy-GB for the ABS doubleshot GMK Red Alert + Olivetti sets you may have seen recently. They’re coming from a friend of mine in China, the person who bought the sets from GMK.

This is a batch-style GB. The keycaps are already made. Every time we get 10 or so orders, those sets will be shipped to me. I will then ship them out. So, do not expect instant delivery.

Both sets contain 126 keys, as shown below. The price is fixed at £127.50+shipping. For this you get the keyset, a Hammer cardboard keycap holder (which the set will be shipped in), and a Hammer novelty keycap. The novelty keycap will be shipped to you at a later date (novelty keycaps in pictures below do not necessarily represent the ones included with these keycaps).

Shipping/Customs

All shipping is fully tracked. We use Royal Mail Special Delivery within the UK, and Royal Mail Tracked&Signed for international.

Please note that the shipping prices only hold up to 4 sets because of the size/weight formats Royal Mail uses for their international deliveries. If you want to order more than 4 sets total, please contact me here or through our website before ordering so that a delivery quote can be given. Any orders of over 4 sets will be refunded.

Within the UK, the sets are fully insured up to £500. For international deliveries, RM Tracked&Signed is only insured up to £50. The value will be marked as £50 for all international deliveries, so hopefully there will be no hefty customs charges on your end. If you want the value marked higher, or if you want more insurance please contact us before ordering.

If your set is lost while being delivered we cannot guarantee any kind of refund. If you think your set is lost, please contact me and I will get in touch with the courier and try to get reimbursement for the value the set is insured for.

For international, unless you request more insurance the maximum amount you can be refunded if your order is lost is £50. We cannot guarantee this. If RM does not reimburse us, we cannot reimburse you. This is a GB, please remember that. I cannot afford to refund you the full value out of my own pocket.

The price

I’m fully aware this set has a high pricetag. As I’ve said, I’m just acting as a proxy. My friend is giving us a lower price per set than he is giving elsewhere, but after Paypal (Paypal fees are huge) and Stripe fees the price comes up to around the same amount.

Please, do not threadcrap with comments regarding the price. If you’re interested in the financials behind this GB, please contact me, and I'll happily give them :)

How to order

Please order through our website (run by myself) precision-buys.com :

ORDER HERE!!!

All payments are done through Stripe. The site is fully PCCI compliant and uses SSL during checkout. Note that during the checkout the URL will change to pegasus.terrassl.net - this is nothing to worry about, this is just shared SSL. It is just as secure.

Thanks for looking. Feel free to ask any questions, I'll be watching this thread closely :)

Better say what material and legend process they are so people don't start asking. You know what newbs and forgetful gits like me are like!

Good luck!

Will do! ;)

No luck needed on this one, fortunately. Sets are already paid for & made.

Urgh, this looks really tempting!
Could you just confirm if that is a 1.75u shift that is included by default?

Also, would any cheaper method of shipping be available for people in the UK? I do realise I am trying to save a couple of pounds on the shipping of a 127 quid set of keycaps, but just wondering :D

I'll be getting Red Alert set. Thanks for organising this, photekq!

@Stabilized

Yes, 1.75u right shift is included, as shown at the bottom of the mockups. I'm refusing to ship anything untracked, sorry. I've had problems with people I thought were trustworthy screwing me over in the past. That was enabled because they requested untracked shipping and I did it. Blame them! :x

@002

No problem :)

Even if it was first/second class signed for? It would still be tracked (delivery confirmation), but only insured up to 50 (like the international orders). I completely understand your gripes though, I wouldn't send anything untracked myself!

Also, I would really like to put my name down for this GB, but I am a bit strapped for cash at the moment. How many sets are you selling? Just so I get some idea of how long these will be available for ;)

@Ramnes

Yeah, it's pretty pricey. Nothing I can do about that though, sorry :(

Blame Paypal for 4.4% of that price! :x

@Stabilized

I guess I can refund you the difference between 1st/2nd signed for & special delivery. Just order like normal and add 'I want *insert delivery service here* instead!' to the special requests section. Also, PM me here that you've done so too, just to be safe.

I'm not sure of the quantities. I'll get back to you later when I'm at home. I think there are plenty available.

Thanks for accommodating the shipping, I really appreciate that :)

I would definitely be down for a set of olivetti if they are still available mid to late March time ;)

Sorry guys, seems I have definitely come down with something (probably group-buy-runner-itis), so I don't think I will be able to take any decent photos or start shipping out for a few days. I just took these shitty shots as a teaser :

Stupid question. ABS is usually worse than PBT, but as this is GMK the quality is nice right?

ABS isn't worse than PBT. It's all down to personal preference.

GMK keys are considered the best MX keycaps in existence, along with Cherry doubleshots, Cherry dyesubs, and BSP.

It seems to me that PBT is objectively superior, at least for the fact that it doesn't yellow with age.

I rather like it when caps show their age by (somewhat) yellowing and especially shining.
After, say, 10 years of typing on a set of caps I wouldn't want them to still look like new.

If I buy expensive keycaps like this I would not want them to shine after some time. 10 years is another thing but shine on keycaps is ugly I think.

The same way I expect a screwdriver to show signs of use, I want my caps to shine.
But well, my keyboard is a working tool and not a piece of jewelry :lol:

You can't compare ABS with PBT with GMK/Cherry doubleshots :) It is all about the legends when you get doubleshots. Those are very, very sharp, crisp and will look nice even after a long time.

If shine was only a problem of looks I'd be fine with it. The problem is that the keys start to feel greasy and that makes me uncomfortable when typing. I wash my hands and clean the keys with a cloth every now and then, like it would make a difference. And that happened after a month of usage, not 10 years. I've been using the same PBT set for 6 months now, still looks and feels brand new.

I haven't tried GMK ABS yet, only thin shit ABS but TA set will be here soon enough and I'll have a more informed opinion :)
