Hi,
I need some storage boxes for my keyboards. There are many standards that one could use.
Do you have any recommendation ?
If you know a good "versand" in Germany, please tell me.
Thanks a lot in advance

EDIT-1: I found this But I do not like the way it opens.

Here in the US uline.com sells boxes that could be suitable. Something like:
http://www.uline.com/BL_1404/White-Tab- ... re-Mailers
9.99 USD/box at IKEA adds quickly. ULine boxes are something like 2.50 USD each, minimum order 25.

My idea was something closer to the Uline ones. I need to find someone in Germany selling them.

My newer model 122 fits just barely. The older models (pre 1990) don't fit.andrewjoy wrote: ↑POTV wrote: ↑I use these from IKEA for my IBM Model M's:

yeh the older Ms use the F case, you can get it in but it will not close, it would only have to be about 1-2 CM longer

Not boxes, but I saw these on clickykeyboards' site:
After a friendly e-mail exchange (thanks!) it was revealed that these are readily available through Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0008GNY7W/
They probably don't work for the F122 or M122.

Nice for SSKs. And doable if everything you've got is Model M or smaller. But yeah, my boards are too varied for that approach. I'm probably just going to fork over some dough to evil IKEA for more glass shelves to fill out my Billys. Besides, boards look best from the front!

I just learned of the "Priority Mail Large Flat Rate Board Game Box" !!!

Outside Dimensions: 24-1/16" x 11-7/8" x 3-1/8"
in millimeters:
Inside 602 298 76
Outside 611 302 79

Thanks guys,
I need something that can be sourced in Europe, Germany if possible, to avoid shipping costs and custom duties.
In any case, you answers have given me lot of ideas. When I find my perfect solution I will post it.
In the meanwhile, do not hesitate to post any additional idea

Why not just make your own? That's what I do.
Supermarkets and other big stores are usually glad to give you some of the flattened cardboard they're sending back for recycling. You can use it to easily make your own custom-sized boxes.
For something like keyboards, I recommend you make boxes with separate lids, as they're extra-sturdy:
How to make a cardboard box (Michael's Blog)
If you want boxes that close with flaps (e.g. for mailing), here's a good page:
Build a Cardboard Box (Instructables.com)
Not only will your boxes be exactly the sizes you want, they'll be FREE (except for some glue). And building them is fun! Just take your time, and be very careful with your cutting tools, and you'll be very satisfied. Cheers, A.

webwit might have something to add here. Going through his photos I found:

More in http://webwit.nl/input/storage/.
It looks like he got these from http://www.rajapack.de/. Maybe he can tell you exactly which ones he got?
