This 1975 Micro Switch, probably made for hotel reservations:

I wanted to put the blue numbers/months on my Bud keypad. Oh well, I'll just have to wait a decade or so before another one appears.

Those are rather slick. Although the best key is SPACE, because unlike most spacebars he's a gentleman and introduces himself.

Savage Circus: Dreamland Manor (link goes to a complete album playlist), a nice mix of 90's Blind Guardian and early 2000's Iron Savior. Melodic:

Nah, don't worry, it doesn't bother me. I was surprised but amused at the same time. I listen to metal myself. (The song is cool, by the way.) Anyone like Motörhead? Do you have the Sacrifice album? Well, I had it for a couple of years before realizing what's really there on the album cover.

I haven't listened to metal since I was a teenager!

@LLRnR, lol, not seen that before. I'm not a Motorhead fan at all...Ace of Spades was ok, everything else is pretty meh.

I go in phases, Christmas was hippie music (jefferson Airplane, Buffalo Springfield), last month was more punk, this month seems to be metal.

I also go in phases: metal, classical, oldies and electronic.

It's been a long time (eh?) scottc, so here's some metal for you: Drudkh, an awesome Ukrainian heathen black metal band.

I used to wear Metallica and Slipknot t-shirts when I was 6-9 years old.

I like the hi-hats here, they give the album a lot of ambiance

Distorted guitars are a trademark of black metal; as for mixing, everybody knows that trve kvlt underground Cthulhu blaahk metaahl must have a sub-standard production, otherwise it's not trve kvlt underground Cthulhu blaahk metaalh. ;)

The crappy production isn't a problem (I like low production values) and to be fair, the hats tone down a couple of songs in, but that first song was just all hat.

Thanks for the link LLRnR, but it's not really my thing anymore! I used to be a huge Megadeth and Iron Maiden fan (I have no idea how I ever took Megadeth seriously...) but it just doesn't do it for me now. Since then, I was into hardcore and punk, then decided that I actually quite liked the musical and melodical part of music instead of just angsty lyrics, went through a stream of strange genres until I found jazz and then electronic music, and now most recently I've gotten very into synth-y 80's inspired stuff like Carpenter Brut and Perturbator. This is one of my recent favourites:

Yes, you're right about the first track. Hah, that Choking Victim song has such a happy tune!

@scottc: Very interesting, thanks for sharing. I haven't listened to anything like this before. I guess I had a lot of spare time as a teen, I discovered hundreds (thousands?) of bands. I haven't had the time for musical discoveries for the past 5 years or so, unfortunately.
