I'd consider that an OK price for a NIB board, but for a used one?

Also, this is taobao. There's a very good chance you'll receive it and it'll be in crappy condition or not working at all. The pictures rarely reflect the condition of the product.

They are really well made in fairness, much more solid than the G80s from the same era, with the exception of the floppy thin bit of plastic connecting the halves which feels a bit flimsy.

I paid £250ish for my NIB HAMPO, ANSI versions will probably go for 3 or 4 times that.

well £250ish is still somewhat reasonable considering these prices now. I'll never pay that much for any keyboard. That's out of proportion.

It's by far my most expensive board, and at the time, I really really regretted buying it. That passed pretty quickly once I had it in hand and used it for a while though

I've got one of those too, Nuum. I had really high hopes for them after Mu's ravings but I was just completely disappointed. It's almost impossible to type a full sentence on them with the horrible binding.

Same here. I have mentioned this, if you were paying attention!

They're a thoroughly perplexing switch. So buttery smooth in the hand, but so balky in a board. My one and only Mitsumi keyboard is a bendy, lightweight Chicony, with easily the flimsiest plate I've ever seen. What about you guys? I'm wondering if they need firmer mounts, or less!

(Looking now at Nuum's link, his board is more or less identical to mine. The difference I can see is the legends. Surprisingly light for a mech. But, yeah, not a great board by a long shot!)

About the type of switches it had, and he added some more pictures. It's Micro Switch Hall Effect, and has an inverted T arrow key layout. For $150 it's a bit expensive but figured someone might be interested.

An interesting oddball:

Square ass Enter, but nice little Shifts, well placed potential Fn key, but horribly placed arrow cluster. Neat colours mind.

If we could only convert these things, sure, I could see that being in the same league as a beamspring or SSK in price. But as far as I know, Honeywells are still a pain. Mine remains unusable.

Though, most Hall Effect keyboards are pretty similar. Do you have any others handy? Doesn't HaaTa have like forty of them or something? Seriously though, if you want I can mail one of mine over for investigation. I have one that should be very similar. It is a Honeywell BRG-007 series keyboard. Really need to get some photos of it up...
