The Memorex boards are foam and foil or rubber dome. The two black Dells and the QuietKey are rubber dome. Basically you get an AT101W and a Terminal M out of this. Not worth it for me.

So does anybody know anything about this keyboard? Layout, Language, History. What is IZOT? nothing came up in the wiki search. There is something about this board that really gets my attention. Perhaps it comes from growing up during the cold war and all the tech that was developed during that time.XMIT wrote: ↑Looks like an old Soviet keyboard with somthing that looks like Futaba linear switches? Apparently some Bulgarian 1980's hardware. But it's too expensive. Interesting though.

This is something similair:Bulgarian computers
In the 1980s, Bulgaria manufactured computers according to an agreement within the COMECON:
Mainframes: IZOT series and ES EVM series (abbreviation from Edinnaya Sistema Elektronno Vichislitelnih Machin, or Unified Computer System — created in 1969 by USSR, Bulgaria, Hungary, GDR, Poland and Czechoslovakia).
Personal computers: IMKO, Pravetz-82/8M/8A/8E/8C/8D — an 8-bit machine, based on Bulgarian-made 6502 variants, IZOT 1030 — based on East German-made U880 (a Z80A clone), Pravetz-16/16A/16H/286 (16-bit) — based on Bulgarian clones of 8086/186/286.

Of course, now I've got an ISO Apple Adjustable they're flooding the bloody market .
Also, Cherry POM isn't cheap and nasty, Cherry POM is pretty nice. I've got a set on my Filco and they're one of my favourite sets.
Unless you are talking about that particular board and not the caps generally, in which case, fair enough .

That Soviet keyboard has been discussed a few times and the general consensus is that they are Fujitsu Reed switches.

I forgot that I actually happened upon the manufacturer awhile back. It's a Pravetz. It was reviewed here.

The local Goodwill affiliate is selling off the inventory of what used to be their computer museum. Check http://www.shopaustingoodwill.com early and often. Click through to http://www.ebay.com/usr/austingoodwillcomputerworks or check the other sections too.
There is this gem, which I hope to win: a Texas Instruments 914 board. The key caps and font suggest Hall Effect to me.

If someone else really wants it let me know, and maybe I'll cancel my snipe.

Just to clarify any misunderstandings, this was my keyboard.
It had white linear Hi-Teks and I transplanted clicky blacks into it.

Yep, and I had no idea it was fohat's until after the sale.
Transplanted huh? Where did the original linears go? Maybe I'll put tactile switches on here just for fun. I haven't made up my mind yet.

Kind of cool (and overpriced), not sure I've seen a NO 5000 before.

Yes, that's what I thought too. There is a slight chance it could also be Hi-Tek, which would suck.XMIT wrote: ↑There is this gem, which I hope to win: a Texas Instruments 914 board. The key caps and font suggest Hall Effect to me.
I saw it when it was first listed, but resisted the urge to bid. Normally I wouldn't give up a chance on such an unusual keyboard (and with a lock too!), but the colour scheme is a bit too uncoordinated for my taste. I love the olive green keys though.

Cool indeed, NO being rare already. Somewhat justifies the price tag. Think a certain gh member might go for it.HzFaq wrote: ↑http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cherry-MX5000-E ... 1501530807?

Pity that the NCR is a RS 3000.
