Metal shelf, right? I can hear the creaking.

Almost certainly the honeywell version, not the buckling spring.

This isn't a real Unsaver or is it? If yes, i would totally want to get it, but that can't be real right?

Edit: Well yeah seems to be honeywell domes, at least dorkvader said it is.

What you think it's a fake? IBM made some with that strange switch, the same one lowpoly sold for 20 Euros! They are not domes. Look at the video of Engicoder typing on that, sound like a dome?

I'm typing on expensive japanese domes right now.

On kishy's page about his IBMs you can see a version of this with part #73X3848. The backside looks to be identical to the one for sale.

if its the same switch like on that ITT Courier 1700 keyboard it's not you're average rubberdome the way we know it, take a look at Engicoder video. It's obviously not buckling spring.

I'll quote Mu from Engicoder's thread:
Muirium wrote: Need to see the insides. Rubber domes can be many things, but not clicky!
Now take a look at that video.

Indeed, so rubbery those domes…

Go on, someone grab it! We've no idea what it could be.

Well after Engicoder's thread I do have some idea. I should have bought that unsaver from lowpoly when I had the chance damn it.

Some one did buy it...hopefully someone here or on GH. Now that lowpoly's has gone missing, maybe this new one can tell us if its the same as the ITT or rubber dome.

 No, we have a pretty good idea :)

Finding a switch exception (which surprised me!) doesn't mean that the already known keyboards will magically change their switches.

So which switch is this board?

Hmm, I didn't realize there was more than one version of the rubber dome unsaver. kishy's example goes with the IBM 3191 and the example above goes with the IBM 3471/3472. Here are the relevant announcements: IBM 3191 IBM 3471/3472

Calling it "another version of the rubber dome unsaver" is wrong to beginn with! The truth is we do not know. If IBM produced unsavers with that ITT switch then that's a whole other thing.
Parak wrote: Finding a switch exception (which surprised me!) doesn't mean that the already known keyboards will magically change their switches.
that is right, only means there was an exception, the RD's are known.

So... The seller either relisted it because the buyer didn't pay, or perhaps he has multiple, but I bought the one here:

Will let you all know what I find and post pics. Really betting that it is rubber dome or oddball switches. 95% sure that the caps aren't going to work with anything other than what is on there. If they were model M compatible, you could switch the domes for BS like the rubber dome model M's can be. Really doubt that since the keycaps and fonts on the caps look very different than M's.

I don't think the case is wide enough to support a cut up model F122 unfortunately, and the curvature is also likely wrong as others have mentioned, though the seller didn't really have any pictures posted looking at it from the side.

Oak switch industrial. https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=54779.0

And the unsaver is honeywell, I have one with the same "feet" and it is WAY overpriced at $75. They were going for $20 shipped when I snagged one. Extremely solid construction.

That DisplayWriter beamspring from Cyprus sure like popping up in this thread. The shipping's just killing its chances of selling, though.

If the seller lowered the price a little bit, he/she probably could sell it before the end of the year.

What is this thing anyway? I'm sure I've seen this or something just like it before. Is it a magnetic reed keyboard?
