Anyone know if the GON TKL KMAC/GON TKL pcbs will mount properly in this? I'm pretty sure it won't matter but don't want to put the $$ down in case there's something I've overlooked

I think you would be better off PM-ing the man himself

Im not actually sure on the Kmac, but the regular GON tkl pcb should fit.

I'd actually like to know this because maybe I get this instead of a Phantom PCB because this supports LEDs and I don't have to buy the Teensy, right? (and also, I don't like where the Teensy is placed on the Phantom PCB)

The phantom has pretty obvious markings for the teensy, andi haveno experience with the gon pcb.

Well then if someone can tell if this is compatible for sure it'd be amazing, since I'd like to install LEDs on my keyboard.

I been researching this as well, the Gon pcb is fully customizable so I don't see a problem with using this plate. Regarding the holes for screws, I haven't been able to find out if they aligned properly, but I doubt they wouldn't. I might get a gon pcb for this build as well, or a winkeyless one, as they support leds too, but the Phantom is cheaper and easier to build i guess.

I bought both these plates and a gon nerD tkl 2.0 pcb in hopes they fit. I just assumed it would because he has 2 styles and I chose the universal one. I can message him to see if his pcb will work. I believe the right question to ask would be if his pcb will fit a filco plate. Can anyone confirm that?

Yeah, no Teensy on the GON. Ends up about the same price, and the shipping is cheaper to EU ($20 instead of $50). You might want to get one with the surface mount components pre-baked.

That's for the diodes/resistors already installed right? (because they're SMD). I think I could solder them myself, but I'll see which I choose. Damn for my first custom project, this is looking good, maybe I'll add a SIP Socket mod too to see which in-switch LEDs look the best (or just to change them whenever I want). Damn I'm hyped! :D

Really? This isn't presoldered if I'm right and it shows as available http://www.gonskeyboardworks.com/pcbs-a ... 0-pcb.html

Ya. I know. Same thing I looked at. Last week Wednesday I bought the bare pcb. I got messaged that all he had in stock was presoldered boards and I needed to add on $15. So I have the presoldered version on the way to me.

So I just basically add the $75 one? (this http://www.gonskeyboardworks.com/pcbs-a ... l-smt.html) Also (dumb question) the USB connector, on the top or the bottom? I'd guess bottom but wanna be sure

So this is the one I paid for http://www.gonskeyboardworks.com/pcbs-a ... 0-pcb.html. I bought the version that is for a 3rd party case.
I then got messaged from GON and he apologized for the confusion then explained that he only has presoldered PCBs where the USB is on the top side of the PCB. The USB on the TOP is the version used by other mfgs. The other version is specifically for KMAC keyboards. The full price of the presoldered version is 75.00. So I ended up just paying him through paypal 15.00 more dollars.

Hope that helps. I messaged him and told him my plans and he directed me to the right PCB.

I know someone asked earlier in the thread, but I'll ask here, for myself ;)

Any chance of getting the CAD files for an attempt at an acrylic centre piece? Because that would be awesome!
