I like the minimal design. However, it's about 52€ without shipping at thekeyboardco. I find it expensive for a plastic wristrest. It's the same price as the Filco wristrest, but maybe that offers a better value/comfort.

could you give more explanations ?

is it plastic ou foam
is it soft or hard
because i got one in wood made from a parquet floor, and it looks better and is less expensive :-)

Here is an excerpt from my riveting, Pulitzer prize-winning review on the 'Hack (and now on DT):
ItlnStln wrote:Well, aside from being exactly the same width as my Filco, the height is almost exactly the same as the front edge of the keyboard. The Filco and Ducky rests I have are a smidge shorter the Milestone and because they are leather, your hands sink a little into the rests making your hand height that much shorter creating an un-optimal angle for hands if you're a rester like me. The Milestone has a matte, textured finish on the top that I am sure will be worn smooth at some point. I suppose you could flip it over and use the shiny side at the risk of fingerprints and such. The Milestone is about .75" tall, appears to be made of a tinted acrylic (it's transparent), and comes with six (very effective) rubber feet to keep the rest from sliding around. The feet are thin, and don't add much to the height. In fact, it is just slightly shorter than the front edge of the Filco with the feet on. Oh, and it weighs a metric ass-ton. You could kneecap someone very effectively with this thing.

Other than that, it's basically a slab of fucking plastic as wide as a keyboard.
While maybe not obvious from this selection, the wrist rest is hard, but comfortable. The textured finish on the top adds a lot to the feel.

How does a hard wristrest help with taking the pressure off of your wrists? It's the same as resting them on the workdesk except the angle is less aggressive. It is mostly the pressure against the surface that causes pain in your wrists. A soft wristrest would probably be better.

For me, it's the angle more than the pressure, but I can see where you're coming from. The Milestone is so large that my hand and much of my wrist lay on it, so there is a lot of surface area to disperse any pressure, but it that might bother you, then yes, the Filco or Ducky leather rests might be a better choice.

most of th carpal tunnel sd come from repeted stress (vibrations, and pressure) and bad angle (thinks teachers writing on a chalkboard etc.).

So a hard surface if at the right angle is better than nothing, and if you pressure is lowered by a wide surface it's better.
the best is change keyboard one a day or more, this way if there is Stress it's not repeted :D

THIS is why many people on this forums have so many keyboards.
