Horrible photos, cannot figure out what the connector is. I'm going to guess it's a Centronics 24 pin but am not sure whether or not Wang used them or not. I might try to convert it as it has a solenoid .
Your photo's are fine. I was looking foreward to seeing this. Thanks for sharing. Are the function row keycaps and the others missing? A solenoid is always nice.
I also do not know how to disassemble it... I would like to take the plate off so I can clean the switches with corrosionx, but I have no clue.

Edit: found 4B2K on delete key
OK thanks for the switch numbers. It looks like the plate may be locked to the PCB by those three metal hinges below the function row.
