Some rebel better get out a Triumph Adler to wish everyone a Cherry Christmas. Someone who is not me. I for one welcome our imperial overlords. They made many of my favourite boards!

Pretty. But also pretty useless. This is why I'm not into typewriters: to get something useful out of them you need to take a picture and post it with your computer anyway. They're like pocket watches. A quaint beauty, but long superseded by the world. Classic keyboards, meanwhile, can be made just as useful to this day.
Also, I need every excuse I can muster not to start another whole bloody collection!

He's a show off! Notice the huge pocket watch! Mu is right!
And I'm really close to getting a 6746 Wheelwriter from a local ad. I hope it's not functional so I can save myself.

Mu is right, for sure. They have their uses, though. A typewritten thank you note/xmas card/letter, nowadays, is cooler and more personal than a handwritten or printed version of the same thing.
Also... I like turning in essays to my university profs in typewritten format. Just to rattle their cages.
