Yes, I saw that Smith-Corona as well. I wonder what kind of switches and keycaps it uses.

Does it definitely have blue alps? I've seen those with white alps in the past.

The Gold Label versions almost always have Blue Alps. Obviously it's good practice to ask the seller to remove the keycap.

Looks like Alps cream.

Not sure on this, but it could have Space Invaders, since a "Lynk PC122" is listed as having such on the NMB Hi-Tek wiki page. If it's right, it'd probably be grey tactiles.

Disappointment Warning: Much like many of the G80s, the later Winkey Focus 2001s sometimes have pad-printed Windows and Menu keys.

I think so, looking at the profile of the bottom two rows of keys and webwit's photos here: http://webwit.nl/input/lynk/

The seller has six left and I can proxy overseas. Anyone in for a group buy?

How much would international shipping be? I think this is one of the few cases where it might be better to get it from eBay. Shipping to the UK (via the eBay global shipping program, so no customs fees) is only $30!

Those are clones, unfortunately. They may still provide a good typing experience, I'm not sure.

You see that FT03 sticker on the back? It means "foam and foil". Buyer beware.

I did end up buying a Link board, should be here in about a week.

Ended "There was an error in the listing". This the second Gold Label Northgate to end prematurely. Here is the other :

Wonder if someone is going around the system?

I know someone is. I spoke with the seller of a different gold label Northgate and he said he had a "great offer" from someone else. I had already bid on it, but he pulled the listing anyways.

Occasionally I'll ask someone to switch a listing to a "buy it now" format, but I've never asked someone to complete a deal outside of eBay... Which is what I think is happening.

That's a great offer indeed!

Hi to whoever made it, scumbag. I bet you're reading this.

It's a good method of getting keyboards. I rarely employ it, as I like everyone to have a chance at getting things, but I've done it once or twice before for boards I just couldn't let slip through my fingers. That said, even if I hadn't done it, I still would've got the keyboards, as I'm certain I would have bid far more than anyone else

I hope I imply that I'll "buy it now" with that $50 strongly enough to not upset people. I wasn't particularly specific about asking him to convert it to an "auction + buy it now" format, but that's how I've won things like my Green Alps keyboard in the past.

Ah, that seller can't even find a board to answer you without a jammed caps lock. Avoid his stock!

Right? I saw that and died a little inside.

Perhaps someone is trying to buy up Blue Alps boards like a commodity to control the market... Artificial scarcity will create more demand, driving prices up (even more) so he/she can benefit.

... I'm probably just paranoid.

It's actually against eBay policy to sell a listed item outside of eBay. You can negotiate with the seller to end bidding prematurely (usually in your favour) but not to outright cancel it.

Nobody gives a shit about eBay policy though, really.

Exactly. Much like how sellers don't give a shit about buyers and eBay doesn't give a shit about anyone.

eBay gives a shit about buyers, I think. The sword of Damocles always seems to hang above the head of a seller if anything goes wrong.

It won't over this guy. eBay only really cares about eBay. Being bastards to sellers doesn't make them saints to buyers.

I also messaged that same seller, he ignored my first message asking him what his buy it now price was, he also ignored my other question asking him to remove a keycap on a other non gold label Omnikeys. When the auction was taken down he messaged me saying he sold it for $100.

I messaged Aliencoder also about both gold label Omnikeys before both of those auctions were removed asking him what his buy it now price was and offered him $90 for one, he ignored both my messages and still hasnt responded.
