This is the first time I've seen a NOS all black Thailand origin QK on Ebay:

Not sure about where they are made but the NMB-made ones are pretty decent, yeah. I see these non-stop at the recycling centre but this might be the first black one I've seen so far. They don't really compare to mechanicals though.

The description says "I know nothing about these and have no idea what make they are so must just be sold as you see them", so they are sold blurry, with blurry legends. Who wants that?

Nah it's not really meant to be used as a standalone keyboard but as a replacement product. The GT80 has MX Browns though which is cool.

Looks rubberdome. There's unpopulated switch spots to the side of Code\Mode with a blue dome there. The keycap mount is also fairly common on 90s laptop rubberdomes.

Nope, nope!

I am practically certain they're doubleshots as they look like many Alps doubleshots I've used.

Odd fact is that, AFAIK, Alps DS caps are actually quite rare, at least in ANSI. The Leading Edge DC-3014 is one example, and then the Packard Bell T9201, and then this one.

The KB101AS you have, luigi, is also another rare example.

AFAIK, the Acers tend to have dyesubbed ABS.

Whereas you have tons of SGI granites with dyesubbed PBT. Then there's the AT101 early model with PBT.

I'm honestly not sure if any Acers actually had PBT or if they were all dyesubbed ABS.

A very good way to tell dyesubbing from ABS is on the numberpad section of the boards, as far as I have seen.

On the leading edge and on this Packard Bell, you can see the asterisk and minus symbol (* -), and they are quite enlarged whereas on the dyesubbed caps, they are smaller.

Of course that can vary more with dyesubbing, but I'd imagine there is little variance with the doubleshots.

See the trend?

I have not examined dyesubbed ABS but I would imagine it to be similar in appearance to the dyesubbed PBT.

They're not Futabas, they're SMK 2nd Gen MX mount .

I offered $35 and the seller ignored me, no counter-offer. $40 would have been acceptable. I just bought something from this same seller a few weeks ago too. Strange.
