This was a HAD 1800, now it's a unicorn, my wife wanted a happy keyboard so I made this for her, I made her happy because she is the best wife a man can wish for
The caps are a mix of almost everything, JTK Purple for alphas, Hyperfuse for Numpad, GMK Purple for ISO Enter, CYMW mods and the Rustler because she deserves only the best. The switches are the original MX Blacks, she loves to type on them.

Thanks Acrylic plate is something else, I'm not a big fan of plate mount, it makes my wee boards a little too rigid, but acrylic is amazing and the way it's made you can remove the stabs even after you have soldered the switches and it allows switch top removal. Too bad SPRiT is the way he is because I would have loved to get another one.
And yes I need an orange cable, when I recover from my move back home to Romania I will get a custom one.

Hyperfuse is 1800,75% compatible with the correct profile. JTK doesn't have the \| cap that one is from Hyperfuse, the purple is the same only the rest is a bit darker than JTK but the board is unicorn vomit anyway

And my dear HHKB with a Conduit Grey F2, love how it looks couldn't have wished for a better cap for this board.

Yes, yes, rub in the fact that I haven't got a single skull yet! I should have a few contributions for this thread coming up, though, with the sheer weight of caps I just brought back from America. Some of them are even mine…

I always really like your keyboard pics Daniel
You inspired me to take a picture of the build I finished today, it's meant to be my all black keyboard but I could only get my hands on a white PCB, not sure if it matters as you can barely see it!
Specs:
— Black on grey dye subbed keycaps
— 55g Cherry vintage black (lubed and stickered)
— Carbon fibre plate
— White b.face replica PCB
— Black aluminium case

Love your board It looks very good, and 55g vintage blacks are perfect. How does the carbon fibre plate feel ? I guess it's a very interesting feel.

I actually prefer acrylic plates to the carbon fibre, it has a bit more flex than my aluminium plated 60% but less than the acrylic. Silences it about as well as acrylic, but I actually prefer the soft feeling of the acrylic plate the most.

It's been a while but I managed to get my hands on another German Model M with APL caps
It's in great shape for being from '92. Only the logo is missing.

Qwertz APL… now did they swap the positions of the APL symbols between Z and Y or let them move with the keys?
Presuming it wasn't just an ANSI APL set on an ISO keyboard in the first place!

The legends are forgivable, but those rows! Perhaps your Irish theme included this:
Anyway, it's a nice look on a great layout. So long as your fingers like free climbing…

@Muirium I had another 1.5u key with the same profile, but it is from the doubleshot version, and It is yellowed, so It has the same constrast issue as the backspace keycap(almost the same profile). And I love the 1.25 keycap even if that means I have a casm between the other 2 caps xD
But yeah that is a plausible explanation :p

For the love of all things holy, get some better windows keys! I recommend just getting a set of Gateron PBT blanks. I'm using them to fill in blanks in my HASRO set while I'm too lazy to resolder some switches to change layout.

There's more to your madness than just that one key. You're not fooling me! The reversed backspace, the Code key on its SIDE!?!, that cunningly tall MICRO key… very fishy, just like Escape!

"Code Crazy". I like the green though. Some of those caps look like those I had on my HHKB2.

Oh nice, I always wanted to get original APL IBM caps (and not those from Unicomp). If you ever want to get rid of one of yours, you know now that I am interested!plasticchair wrote: ↑It's been a while but I managed to get my hands on another German Model M with APL caps

Nice HHKB! I am not that well informed, but which caps were the Topre fitting ones again? I remember some posts regarding this topic!seebart wrote: ↑"Code Crazy". I like the green though. Some of those caps look like those I had on my HHKB2.

NMB dome with slider, but they don't sit firmly like original PFU / Topre caps.
