Man he has some switches I don't have and that I've been looking for... But it's too expensive.ohaimark wrote: ↑http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Keyboar ... 1933137057
Switch testing set. I'd pay $30 and not a penny more if I were just branching out into the hobby.

Just a heads-up, after doing some digging, I'll be passing on the green SKCC IBM. Beautiful keyboard, but linear switches aren't my thing. They're all yours if you're doing a group buy

Do you know of someone able to proxy those to the US? I'd love to get some G80s to mess around with but the cheapest I can find in the US is $35.scottc wrote: ↑If you want MX blacks, I'd recommend getting a €3 1800, not this!

Blue Alps are not just in vogue right now, I'd say there's a buying hysteria for them. Anything found on eBay and posted here or on GH quickly goes for hundreds of dollars.mastermachetier wrote: ↑ I really love orange alps, never tried blue though and I am hesitant to pay the blue premium without actually having tried it haha.
You can definitely find them, you just need to know where to look, and don't rely on eBay. I say this as someone who was whining about that very same thing just a month ago.
At least $250 is my guess, quite possibly more. The Datatech from last month wasn't in spectacularly better material condition and still sold for $350 or so, especially after the link was cross-posted all over the internet.Blaise170 wrote: ↑Even despite the rusty plate and dirtiness I bet it still ends up at over $200.
Personally, even though it is Blue Alps, I wouldn't bother. Rusty plate syndrome is huge turn-off for me these days.

Got a box of those already. Wanna try some "ortholinear" stuff with them. I hope that doesn't sound sexual ...scottc wrote: ↑If you want MX blacks, I'd recommend getting a €3 1800, not this!

Shhhhh. Don't stop the hysteria. Once I measure my near-mint DC-3014's switches I'm selling it, and I want $475 for my near ANSI stock Blue Alps layout with NKRO.
Wodan... Why did you have to make it sexual? --------- = ortholinear. Open wide, gents.

I'm mostly kidding (but I recognize that it might happen). I plan to list it on eBay, auction style, starting at $75 when I sell the bugger. I think $100 is a fair price for a Blue Alps board, but if the market wants to up the cost I'll happily rake in the $$$.
Edit: I think u-ra is right. Similar KB:

I do like blue Alps, but apparently not as much as others... I wouldn't have desoldered them all you know...
