I've been watching those for two years or so along with the floppy drive and documentation for the 6085. It's not gone up or down since.

"Long demonstrated demand" then! They're obviously worth a lot more than E3 paid for them in a heartbeat.

It appears by the way that they all have different part numbers, and none of them match the one on the one Nubbinator posted when he first discovered the switch (he also used the term "neon green", by the way). Whether this is significant, who knows.

I am guessing that the 6085 turned into the DocuTech. E3s keyboards might not work on a 6085 but it looks fairly similar. Still a good find for that price!

Probably mechanical since it is a police car keyboard, before TG3 took that market over. Dunno what kind of switches it might have though.

Like, this really makes up for my expectations getting pulled up by that local blue Alps Focus FK-2001 the other day.

I've been looking for this switch type for a while, and now... I hit the motherlode. It was just one of those late nights, felt like randomly perusing eBay and on my feed, I see something that I had to take a double take to ensure I wasn't going apeshit crazy. In like five seconds, I snapped it up and checked out with no hesitation. These are SO hard to find.

FOUR boards with Alps SKCM Green. That is tactile "neon" green (as Chryos puts it), not linear.

All for a holy shit price.

I am very satisfied.

Oh yeah, I got these more for their switches primarily, not that I plan on harvesting each one. I like my boards whole until the day of slaughter calls for them, and then they shall ascend.

But yeah, I can see myself restoring the cases, because the boards really are quite striking in their own way. I only plan on harvesting from one of these babies for my Orion v2, which I now plan on modifying for hotswappability because now I can't settle on just one switch choice for the board.

They look very nice with all grey plastic, these Xerox boards! And yeah, the Alps market is just kind of ridiculous in general now. $360 for a rusted out FK-2001 with blue Alps? What are people on right now?

It must be good.

Oh well if the F legends aren't rotated(like on AEK) then those would be an interesting addition to someone's alps build.

I got that one. Ironically, the seller and I are online acquaintances, so it worked out nicely. Everyone in that auction was sniping, apparently.

Was worth it to me since he'd had it restored via the Phosphor Glow treatment. Now I'm just waiting for another Ortek battleship to appear.

I nearly forgot that it was refurbished by PhosphorGlow; I suppose that makes the price more reasonable.

But $280 for that other, otherwise normal, SSK, yikes.. Even more people were sniping that one. :?

The usual clueless cherrybashing…
I actually have 1u Winkeys from a G80-1800 on my keyboard,
and obviously also 1u mods are rather sought after.
Not to mention the 1u numpad 0.

Here's where my MX ignorance comes up. I've literally no idea why someone would want that. Are there customs? The 1800 always strikes me as an awkward compromise layout so I've never noticed.
