I'll think about it. I guess no harm in sharing now. At the very least I will post some nice pictures when I get it. I've been looking for a blue Alps donor board for a while but it might be too nice for that, we'll see. That seems to be the blue Alps dilemma, when is a keyboard too nice to harvest?

If you go and destroy something as sublime-feeling and good-looking as a Focus FK-2001 with blue Alps, I'm going to come over there and bury you under a giant pile of newspapers .Tuntematon wrote: ↑I'll think about it. Texas Instruments TI 99/4a - surely nice looking caps! But more of a collectable, I guess.

Haha, don't worry, I can't see myself going through with it. It is a great looking keyboard and it has a Ctrl/Caps DIP switch, which is a great feature and adds even more character. I'll have to postpone the harvest until I find something more pedestrian like a Chicony or NTC.Chyros wrote: ↑If you go and destroy something as sublime-feeling and good-looking as a Focus FK-2001 with blue Alps, I'm going to come over there and bury you under a giant pile of newspapers .Tuntematon wrote: ↑I'll think about it. The TH-5539 is expensive (it comes with a computer after all) and I'm not sure if that's the Tai-Hao Aruz version, but it would be pretty exciting if it was. It's a must try switch.

The TH-5539 line is the name that Tai Hao gave their entire line of keyboards, which covers an incredibly wide range with a lot of different case styles but usually all the same layout.Wodan wrote: ↑NIB Chicony KB-5162

These puppies can have blue Alps, Tai Hao Aruz, APC clone switches, white Alps, and maybe even more switches. I dunno!
Mine with blues looked like this before I restored it, if it's any indication or assistance:
Tai Hao's boards went under two brands as far as I know, FAME and APC. I've seen whites and APC switches in APCs and Tai Hao Aruz and Blue Alps in FAMEs
The other board seems to be a Chicony 5181 which, like the 5161, can have a plethora of different switch types, so it's always a huge gamble.

This is rather tempting.. It's probably a little overpriced, but it's not something you see every day. Shame I have no money or I'd probably take it!
If anyone ends up buying it and they don't want the keyboard/box please let me know. I have a set of G81-3000SAG keycaps and I would LOVE to complete the set, even if it is just a G81.

I think the Packard Bell is a BTC rubberdome. It's not very good; they sold them in the mid 1990s and one came with my second PC.

Fairly sure these have to be an Alps switch of some kind, judging by the caps, but that might not be enough to go off of,it's just that the legends and profile are exactly the same as the Bondwell 8T PRO with linear creams.
Looks like it's got a 7u spacebar too, so it'd work for modern Alps builds.

I dunno. Once you're used to 4k and above, all lower resolutions look much the same…
Anyway, nice board. Clamshells are good at keeping the dreaded yellowing at bay! Someone near Greece might want to get it if the price stays sane.

Seems to be branded "DIGITAL" however if you look at the label on the back it is a Fujitsus FKB4700. Here's Chyros' video of one:

I know this is probably not anyone's "cup of tea" here but I just purchased a Cleankeys CKGEN1-G keyboard because it was just too cheap to pass up (CDN $35) and I actually wanted to try something like this. It has those new "zero g" key switches for those who like a really light touch Bought it yesterday so I don't know what it's like yet.
Looks like the seller had more for sale today at http://www.ebay.ca/itm/172114044893

I'd hope capsense. But I've seen membrane stuff like that in years past. Before I was even into keyboards, I knew I loathed them! About as pleasant to use as most microwave timers…
