Just make jokes about silly membranes and rubber dome keyboards. (Model M and Topre, respectively)

Very low hanging fruits 8-)

Aah, there you go. And LAMDE is thick, winkeyed, lasered PBT, correct?

Not necessarily, but can be if it has scooped F&J.

Aye. I have never seen a scooped Cherry keycap that was not thick material (PBT or POM).

What a piece of trash. The best caps have been salvaged ... that's almost a scam. The missing caps are even covered with fugly covers or crap caps to conceal they fact they're missing.

It's worth considering if you have a Cherry profile bottom row and look for the rest to fill the keyboard. Can't imagine that to be worth 125$ plus since you can get a brand new set of GMK caps (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=79061.0) for that price.

Thick ABS is also possible ;) .

Aw!

I'd take thick lasered PBT over ABS doubleshots. Just don't like that ABS feel, the shine rot, or the need to hide them from sun.

True, I did not mention Doubleshots because they are always thick.

As opposed to lasered, where there are thick and thin kinds. The latter being the more common ones.

The keyboard itself is a G80-1800 LAAUS, so originally it had lasered caps.
Obviously someone had a G81-1800 (i.e. MY switches) board with doubleshots and thought:
"Let's take the best of both boards: MX switches and doubleshot keycaps, and make money out of that."
Unfortunately this one is winkey while the other one was winkeyless,
and the 1.5u Control and Alt caps just won't fit here

$125 for that is just ridiculous. Anyone buying this crap will have to be declared insane.

There are only two rare caps here: the 1u numpad "0" and the 1.75u right Shift.
But they are far from being worth $125.

Hmm… a 1.75u Shift, eh?

It's one cap out of 100. I bid $1.25!

It's really SAD when people don't understand how eBay is working... Some guy won my auction, the price it went for is nothing to be SAD, and asked AFTER winning the auction about the condition of the keycaps and all. Even though he already did that a few days before...

Oh yeah congrats on that auctino zugluftier... I was aiming quite a bit lower, funny how your -1 board sold for more than the complete SAD board that went a little later the same night.

Crazy asians got the price above 70 euros ;) Inside Germany it would have gone a bit higher than 30 euros I think.

Thanks for the tip :-)

I snagged that one, put in a sorta-lowball offer and got a small but acceptable discount. And I believe it's technically a 6082 (ANSI layout with 82 keys, not 83), but otherwise it looks identical to the Acer 6083 from the wiki. I *love* the layout and the low-profile probably-dyesubs. Can't wait to get this baby up and running!

Caps are gorgeous. And the layout makes it unique. Can you connect it to anything other than Amiga?

I tried mine with an Orihalcon's but it didn't work.

Do you know if it's Space Invaders? If it doesn't I could've sold you one for bugger all xD . The Mitsumi version of these is not uncommon at all.

You may want to build your own Soarer's converter, Chyros. Wiring in the Reset line and two pull-up resistors makes a lot of recalcitrant keyboards behave nicely... Don't know if it would fix the Amiga, but it couldn't hurt.

The red A gave it away ;) But it will not work with a standard PC since a different protocol is used. I'd give this adapter a try or ask directly at the shop: http://www.vesalia.de/d_keyrahv2.htm
