It's certainly a compliment in a way, but I'd say that Green Alps are already selling for higher than they were months ago. Alps prices have risen in general, but I really blame blue Alps prices on hype from the community, which does include Chyros' video but only by proxy; I blame it on autobidding programs as well and unscrupulous bidders,
There's also been a lot of Alps group buys that have been successful. The Monarch, Alps Party, Alpine Winter and so on, which has made Alps more accessible to a lot more people and also a lot more appealing.

From the same seller as the DC-2014, Green Alps:

This color scheme reminds me of the "Kingfisher" AEK II in the Alps appreciation thread:

We shall see soon. I got replacements for that one missing cap too. Good thing I did not buy that Cherry G80-0662 instead.

I was wondering why nobody was interested in taking it a few days ago when it was put up, are you going to make a thread? I'm really curious about that oneseebart wrote: ↑Hmm nice that Visual terminal board, I believe that we had a similair one here with brown Alps a while ago. Of course Dra, the full programm as usual. I should really get into video reviews like Chyros, at least I should try to get some good typing videos done.
This one still intrigues me, but the Hall Effect keyboard is more important.

Honestly I find typing videos pretty pointless, sure, it gives you an estimate of how it sounds, but I know of a few people who use them to judge how loud a switch is, and well, let's just say that doesn't work that well

I'd say getting the (sound) recording "right" is pretty difficult, the few times that I tried the recording sounded almost nothing like the keyboard in real life. But I have seen pretty good ones here too, I'll have a go at it again some time.

Do it seebart! I think Aruz is a good bet here since the keyboard was registered on the same day as the other Aruz board and has the same design features. Of course, it would be nice to have visual confirmation.seebart wrote: ↑Of course Dra, the full programm as usual. I could pick one up as well, although 100€ is a bit steep IMO
Tai Hao IS a very safe bet, considering that they re-used that sticker strip on top the Fame Aruz board has as well as the back of the board using a bolted plate

Oh yeah the seller is commercial, so I could give it back. You know I just now realized that Tai-Hao Aruz is a Alps clone switch, I should really pay more attention.

Ahh yeah, I actually traded Sth some blue Alps for a few brown linears and the distinctive grey doubleshots from his Visual Basic. It is indeed similar to many TI boards.ohaimark wrote: ↑It shares a few features with the TI boards that were posted a while back. Wonder if the guts are the same?
But what's more to important to remember is that this and the TI boards like it are LK201 clones:
wiki/DEC_LK201
Though, since they are based on Alps switches, then perhaps they've sourced from the same manufacturer. No idea.

The whole Alps clone situation remains "a vortex" to some degree. Certain "clones" like SMK Montereys are well known though. I bet there are other Alps SKCM clones we have not seen.
