That's some serious dedication.
Taking one for the homeland it seems, since the Leading Edge DC-3014 is South Korean itself, haha.

Can you really blame people for wanting to get as much as they can for a product? If people on DT were willing to buy everything I sell on ebay, I'd gladly sell for 10-15% less, but that's just not reasonable considering how small the marketplace is compared to ebay.
I'd offer you something, but I guarantee the bid is going to reach something like $400. While it's understandable for sellers to want to get as much on merch as possible, it often turns things on end (kind of like the price of blue alps right now). Personally, I'd sell on the forums for cheap to keep the hobby easier to get into.
I PREDICTED IT FROM THE STAAAAART "Something like $400'

I figured it would hit $400 after the bids started jumping up again last night, as well. Before then, I had it pegged around $350.

Not really any fault of eBay, IMO. The demand for Blue Alps is really high right now and prices are basically what the market will bear, which (for deep-pocketed collectors) is quite a lot.

Sadly. No hope for me to get my grail board ;(

No, there is absolutely not fault to ebay or the seller. As I said, there's nothing wrong with trying to get the most out of a rare desirable item that you own. Other than this case, though, it kind of seems that blue alps prices calmed down a *little* bit. Hopefully this trend will continue.

How nice are the Tai Hao aruz switches? That's the only reason I want the keyboard anyhow.

I am kind at the max as far as spending power goes, I so I don't even think I can afford the board no matter what shipping is. :|

Ahh, I'd get one if I didn't need a proxy from German land. Damn. Just for the caps, more than anything.

Yeah, we're looking at $95-100 total.

Eh,with my recent buys, I don't think I'd be good for that.

What would be the purpose? You can't use these on an Alps PCB.

And sold out. Why do I even come to this thread? I only miss out, I never benefit. Arghh.

How is there so much interest in this keyboard? Four sold in less than an hour for $80 USD and no one's even tried the switch before.

Because it's got a blue stem :D

I believe someone mentioned that they feel somewhat similar to blue alps so that alone is worth something I guess, also rarity

Well then I'd know what they're like, of course not! But the switch itself is no new discovery. It's been in our wiki for a while. Do you only ever buy stuff you already know?

Of course not. The TH-5539 in the Wiki is mine! I bought it never having tried it before. I'd like another because mine has some broken switches. I'm just sour because I found this earlier and I was waiting on a response from the seller about shipping. Then Dra posted it here and it sold out in a hurry. You win some, you lose some.

If people only bought things that they knew, then blue Alps prices would drop to the floor when people realised that they were quite nice but incredibly overhyped!

Don't be sour Tuntematon! I'm sure the seller would have responded to you if they had not sold out.
The switch is similar in design to a KPT switch, with a similar actuation force to Alps SKCM Blue. The tactile bump resembles that of the KPT switch, and the click is like an almost silenced SMK Alps mount switch.
That pretty much sums it up, KPT's are not that great though IMO.
