It is close to ISO as is.
I think the converter would permit to customize the layout and use the japanese specific keys.

Does this support Hasu's HHKB controller? If so, it'd be an even better fit than the USB -> USB converter.

Hasu has a controller for the JP version, but the Keymap editor is not available for that version:

It makes me wonder no one wants that beauty, paired with a converter by hasu it's my daylie driver.
55g domes with Hypersphere rings and Novatouch sliders, a dream to me. Spacebar still needs to be done, still waiting for the correct 3u keycaps from SP for modding.
