Help with using Satan GH60 board on ASUS laptop

After lurking on mechanical keyboard forums for a while, a few weeks ago I finally decided to build my custom keyboard with a Satan PCB.

It works on my custom PC (which has an ASUS M5A78L-M/USB 3 motherboard), but when I tested it on my ASUS laptop it didn't work, with an error reading "USB device not recognized".

Confused if it was a laptop thing, I tried using it on 3 Acer laptops, 2 MacBook Airs, 1 MacBook Pro, 1 Lenovo laptop, and another ASUS laptop from my friends, and it worked perfectly fine on all but the other ASUS laptop.

This has led me to believe this is an ASUS laptop software problem, however I do not know how this can be solved. I have tried using both the USB 2 and USB 3 ports, deleting the Universal Serial Bus controllers and letting them reinstall by rebooting as I read in Microsoft troubleshooting, and changing the power settings for the USB ports, which all did not solve the problem.

The laptop model is X550C, running Windows 10 64-bit (upgraded from Windows 8.1). More specs are shown below:

Any help will be greatly appreciated, oh and if anyone is interested here's what my keyboard looks like (sorry for the bad quality I only have a phone camera)

You could try a different firmware on the keyboard (e.g. EasyAVR) to see if it's a firmware problem.
