Dang Mark, you literally posted everything I was going to post! Anyways, those WYSE are mine - I have approximately 40 of them that I'd like to sell.

It's a good thing that you're selling them in small lots. Crashing the market would be... UnWYSE.

Oh, hi Blaise, I didn't notice The Three Wyse Boards was your listing.

Guys, buy in confidence, Blaise170 delivers beyond expectation.

Those Wyse boards are the only Vintage MX Black ANSI layout that I know of, though I'll admit that I'm no expert on anything Cherry. They certainly have a lower profile than a lot of other keyboards which I find makes them a bit more ergonomic and easier on the wrists.

I'll be listing a pre-made Wyse Soarer's Converter which I'll be listing this weekend, so maybe that will help you with sales for those that want something plug and play :) Main issue I had was getting the nearly 5mm diameter cable to fit into the tiny 4p4c modular plug which is normally designed to take thin flat cable I got the cable jacket is mostly squeezed in there, then added some superglue for stability.

I was just about to order a pro-micro to build a converter... It seems that I will wait a bit :-p

Yeah, I had a WY-60 awhile back that was the first thing I was ever able to convert, despite my (at the time) horrendous soldering skills. Now I have immaculate soldering capabilities, but I can't get any WYSE boards converted anymore! As far as I know, the Teensy is still in good shape, but maybe it's the Teensy. In any case, I have plenty of these WYSE PCE boards to sell, including one with a red Cancel key (not sure if aftermarket or a special order from WYSE). Like three or four of them are the white model and the other 35 or so are the grey version. Of course, if anyone wants some, please message me and I'll give you a discount off of eBay's site. Hellbay fees are ridiculous!

If some two people want to split the lot of these 3 boards and shipping to EU, I might be convinced to take the third one 8-)

Edit: Nice looking board

Interesting... I've had that same model of keyboard before but it was rubber dome instead of Alps.

On the WYSE, if a bunch of people are interested I could do a mini group buy. Maybe save on the international shipping that way.

Turns out 122-key Model Fs are still out there! Bit pricey, but a nice punctuation to the recent Alps insanity. Also, global shipping could be a boon to European or Asian buyers.

Someone going a bit crazy with the colors:

Anyway, these aren’t Alps switches, but some kind of 4-tab clone.

I have a board just like that with the colors and everything. The switches are APC switches and the are god awful. I do not recommend them in any way, shape, or form.

They are worse than rubber domes. Caps are quite nice though. Would be even better if it was ANSI.

Well it's almost Ansi isn't it? At least nice variation if you like the BAE ;)
I suppose the caps would be alps compatible anyways ?

I call that the Focus-style layout, and it's probably my favorite keyboard layout. I love bigass enters and full-size backspaces, and I don't really ever use the \ so having it way over on the right doesn't bother me in the slightest.

I'm also primarily a left-shift user for capitalization and whatnot, so the smaller right shift isn't a bother to me. On the other hand, ISO is nearly impossible to use because of the tiny left shift. ;)

Sounds like that Ace would be a good board to put your own switches in then. Nice layout and the keys look like they're probably Tai Hao doubleshot. Hopefully there plate isn't plastic though.

Tai Hao APC TH-5539, I presume.

More evidence that Focus had a hand in the Northgate Omnikey:

I've never seen a Focus like this before, but if they do pop up occasionally, then I've probably just glanced over them.

They're not as common as the 2001 but not particularly rare. Why is this one a link with the Omnikey though? =o

It's blue Alps, it's just the light making the already strange colour look even duller than it already is ;) .

I think he meant because of the diagonal arrows ;)

Oh the star nav, those are on loads of old Focuses. Some other battlecruisers like the Ortek and Anykey had them too :) .

I really wish they would bring some other colors and sublegends to the Alps world.

Oh well I guess its something else then. The Omnikeys have really nice build quality, I am surprised that no one is trying to get the ANSI 101's off ebay and putting blue alps in them to use as a daily driver.

Me too. I am building a V80 with red LED's, red TEX case, and I would love some red keycaps as well. At least with red legends. That would look sooo awesome

If it were 1,337 dollars and had a red stripe down the side to make it go faster, I might consider it.

Those Tai-Hao caps have been on Massdrop for months. I own two of the color sets, and they're nice, but they really don't fit with vintage boards, IMO. (And I mean this literally, as many vintage boards don't use the modern ANSI layout.) They need to make some in the traditional "Focus layout" with a bigass enter and small shift. They fact that they don't is somehow ironic since Tai-Hao created the keycaps for Focus and Omnikey boards to begin with, and their Alps clone board has a bigass enter key.

Also, that Acer board will probably be price-inflated to $500 by the eBay trolls; don't expect anything meaningful out of it. And even it it's not, it will sell for an artificially high value thanks to the trolls inflating the market price on eBay.

And Chyros is right, a lot of older battleship style boards had the star nav cluster. The original Omnikey Ultra, as well as the Focus 2000+, FK-3001, FK-5001, and the FK-9000. The Ortek MCK-142 also had it (You can see it on ohaimark's recent auction).
