Damn nice find. Grrrr $45.00 shipping. I'm tempted. The seller has a pretty good description though.Engicoder wrote: ↑Looks similar to the Hall Effect in Chyros' most recent video, except with case.

I'm very open to sponsorship deals, but I'd outright refuse to review them in any way but a completely objective one - it's not only not my style, it's also just not in my nature. Manufacturers who don't have high confidence in their products should probably not bother to sub me a board :p .timmo wrote: ↑Unfortunately, by only reviewing vintage gear you're unlikely to get any sponsorship deals
That said, there are a few modern keyboards out there that I suspect I should be able to give great reviews. For example, I suspect a Realfource 104U would come off pretty damn well, judging by what people said and my previous experience with Topre switches . A Razer keyboard probably not so much though xD . Although of course I wouldn't know before actually trying it.

Late night find -- not-quite-new but in box IBM M2. For $4:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/141954681384
I bought it, of course.
VERY ironic model number:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/MC5-AMSI-KB-Key ... 2067696159
It's labeled "MC5 ANSI KB..." Even though it has an ISO enter. FAIL.

A cheap but mauled Soviet board: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Soviet-USSR-R ... 1999226843
What kind of switches are those? (I assume they're nothing exciting).

The Soviet 'board has switches that I haven't seen before. I love the wood connectors on those things.
Also... I'm sure you're all familiar with the keyboard brand "Jizz." They've been the target of many memes and jokes. But now they've taken things to a new level. They waterproofed a keyboard -- I wonder why? *ahem*

The same seller has another similar cased board: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CSSR-Contactl ... 1909616519Engicoder wrote: ↑Looks similar to the Hall Effect in Chyros' most recent video, except with case.

In the listing he describes 4 versions of these boards. I wonder how many he has in total.
edit: this one doesn't come with a connector. I believe that both versions he's listed so far are missing a badge saying "CONSUL" that would've been attached on the top left.

I hope someone on DT who will keep the whole thing gets it . Not someone who has too much money and wants some hall effect to keep in a box somewhere.
Get the CRT fixed and sit it somewhere working. Do some reversible modding to it and use it as a serial terminal or something.
