So this has been out there for ages, and it's the one 10-key variety that I have always wanted... So mildly intoxicated last night, I made a low ball offer, and he took it. I have several "nicer" boards that I paid MUCH less for, but will somehow justify the purchase in my mind with a birthday coming up.

He sent other pics before I sent payment, and it really is in nice shape. Pretty amped

A really cheap Model M with interesting keycaps that seem to have yellowed pretty badly.

If those caps are yellowed, they would have to be 3rd party caps. (Witch is my guess) I've never heard of IBM using anything besides PBT. Certainly interesting. Also seems to have sold really fast. I must not have been the only one to have found it interesting.

It didnt actually sell. No reason to sell a blue alps board for that low when a retrobrighted M0116 can fetch that much.Abstractions wrote: ↑...and there goes the blue Alps bubble.

Anyways, it not selling shows even more that there is a lesser demand for blue Alps.

Yeah there has been a lot of them popping up on ebay recently, probably from people searching through old stuff for them

I picked it up.. I believe they are Hooleon caps (they were one of the first players in that game, and the front fonts look like theirs in the low resolution). Ironically, ABS Apple banana tarnish was close to one of their colors, so the yellowing is less than picture would indictate. Will give them a buzz after I get it. Worst case, this is a parts board (which I need) at that price.Touch_It wrote: ↑If those caps are yellowed, they would have to be 3rd party caps.
