As for that nice WoB ... I was sure it was some white whale I have only one I'm willing to hunt and that it a Planar T/Poker T case. I have enough caps and boards
P.S: wouldn't refuse some ~60 nixies at a decent price

yeah this one is not cherry compatible, just by looking at the caps, although good looking :p
If someone can help me proxy these, I have 2 or 3 more for which I have the listings, and we could get them for ourselves :3

Yup! On your recommendation I ordered one of the Aliexpress ones. Let's see what I think of it Can't go wrong for $16 or whatever it was.DanielT wrote: ↑Nice just need a case and you're ready to go

Yes, those are SGI caps. I like them a lot, but they are a little bit too yellow. Actually, it almost looks as if they were yellowed ABS , but only the spacebar is ABS and that has the same color as the rest of the keys, so one has to assume the color was chosen by the manufacturer...gogusrl wrote: ↑Those look like SGI caps to me.
You should! Out of my limited selection, I find the SGI caps to be my favorite Alps-compatible keycaps. Standard ANSI is a bonus .emdude wrote: ↑Great board Khers, trying to procure SGI Granite or similar key caps myself. They look fantastic!

As I wrote, my experience with Alps-compatible keycaps is rather limited. The only other PBT caps I've tried are Apple ones on my AEKII, and while those are nice, there is something I like better about these . They are a bit on the smooth side of things as far as texture goes.
Just did a quick google on IBM P70, and I have to agree with you, they look very nice indeed. Never seen those before though. Whatever IBM-stuff Hypersphere put on his also looked pretty.

I just googled the IBM P70 and I really want one now. Does anyone know where they were last sold?

It has been quite some time since I checked in here, so I figured I'd update the image of the Cherry Battleship.
There have been some minor layout tweaks in the Numpad area and the backplane but the concept hasn't really changed.
