I often mistakenly type "jajajaj" because H and J are next to each other. I don't know if idollar was also mistaken or made a funny reference to country of origin of the listed item :)

I'm now the official owner of that complete Leading Edge system, which I got for a nice $388 after shipping. Not too bad I'd say. I don't know much about vintage machines though so I don't know if I'll repair it or just display it.

Play some old DOS games, man. Text based dungeon crawls are a treat.

Would anyone in Europe be interested a group buy for WYSE WY-30 boards? I have two weeks to sell 30 and I know some people were expressing interest in them. I'd basically be selling them at cost since I will be moving about 1200 miles to a new place.

Lol I just swapped SKCM Orange into my SGI. Many harvest mech's like the SGI for switches and caps etc, I just mod the OG board and call it a day! I haven't really bothered with custom builds, the cost is the main point. By build a 60%/TKL when I can just swap a V60 w/ SKCL Greens for cheap! (I also did this)

@blaise congrats on that system. LE logo overload :) Hopefully you get it delivered to a new address.

@abstractions you wouldn't by any chance not have a need for those keycaps? :D

I'm pretty certain the only reason anyone gets the SGI Granite is for the key caps.

Well, that's fine by me, I only need my SGI Granite for the key caps so I would not mind selling the rest of the board to anyone interested. :P

Then it's not interesting anymore. It's the package that makes it great. For some, like myself. ;) :!:

Well, by that logic, then Mattr's board isn't that interesting, because he messed with it by swapping out the switches for SKCM Oranges! To be fair, white damped alps aren't that great. But I totally get people who want to use an unmodified board though.

Oh still find it interesting, but I'd always go with the original if possible. But if you got a partially defect one a custom job makes sense. Probably more satisfying also to complete also.

With total strangers I might have a problem with that but oh well...
Written in awful grammar, and worse sentence structure!

But that cat...pretty scary looking. :o :?

I'd be hesitant to tear the board apart as well if there were better options for PBT alps key caps, but alas..

Well, to me the case is still interesting. A bit like "industrial" AT101. Does it have a metal plate inside like older dells?

Yes it does, the overall build quality is better like the old Dell AT. It's like a better Dell AT, better looking too.

Here's one of mine:

Other than the plate for the switches like other alps boards, no.

Wow, the legends on the AT-102 are non-italicized? :o

That looks tons better, IMO.

I got one with cream and one with white Damped Alps SKCM, the one in the link is in not so good shape.

Here's the good one with the caps off, how fitting for this thread:
