Hi guys, I'm going to buy my first mechanical keyboard.

I had set my mind on the CM storm Rapid-i because it has the "brown" switches, its a TKL and is also backlit (also it was U$90 at the time). Right now I'm having a dificult time findind it and the price has reasen to U$115. Do you guys have any recomendation for similar keyboards that I could buy?

Thank you very much!

Rapid-i is a great choice. What layout are you looking for?

If you are looking for an ISO layout keyboard, the Rapid-i doesnt have much competition. You will not find a TKL keyboard with real Cherry switches for much less ...

I'm not sure about the diferent layouts but I'm going for the "normal" english one (QWERTY). I went for the cherry because people say its pretty relayable and also has a good durability, and when I tested the brown switches seemd the best for me. I wanted the TKL because I dont need the number pad and a smaller keyboard means more desk space(and should also be less expensive). Unfortnately with my choice it means I'll be missing features like whrist rest, dedicated volume whell and maybe usb hubs.

You can easily find wrist rests for TKL keyboards.
Unfortunately, TKL keyboards aren't any cheaper than full keyboards. They are actually more desirable and catch higher prices used.

The Rapid-I comes with media control keys. I avoid keyboards with all the Gimmicks like usb hubs and dedicated media controls. Rapid-i is a clean choice, just wait for a better price.
