on impulse I thought it looked a lot like the Chicony KB-5160...but no the LED window is different. Guess I lucked out of ending up with futabas...!Tuntematon wrote: ↑Itching to try the Futaba switch or is there another reason you wanted it?

So this would be more interesting for the dutch here, and I actually need a bit of help;
I just bought a novatouch from someone for 95EUR, and afterwards I saw these two marktplaats adverts:
http://www.marktplaats.nl/a/computers-e ... e=lr&pos=3
and
http://www.marktplaats.nl/a/computers-e ... e=lr&pos=5
Now this is their website, and the novatouch page:
https://www.eindhovenspandjeshuis.nl/pr ... ord-nieuw/
This one is 100EUR, and it's ansi. So I much more prefer this, but I don't know if it's legit. It says on the markplaats link "zo goed als nieuw". But the website looks legit. It even looks like they have a shop.
Could I get some 2 cents of you guys;p
edit; looks like the shop owner was suspected of money laundry and pilferage http://www.ed.nl/regio/eindhoven/eigena ... -1.5850618

Was hoping this was the SKCL Brown Alps board, but it's clearly not the same model that -can- have brown linear Alps. But hey~jerue wrote: ↑anyone get this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Packard ... 1886904605

I have had those before. XMIT looked at them and decided they were nothing very interesting, but I don't recall exactly what they were.//gainsborough wrote: ↑Tandy 1000 PC keyboard.

If he said that they might be Fujitsu Peerless; the LED window placement is typical of them. If they were leaf springs I think he wouldn't have said that.elecplus wrote: ↑I have had those before. The keycaps look very Fujitsu leaf spring, peerless never had caps like that. But do I know that for certain? Nope. There is a seller here in Germany that's selling them way overpiced.

No, that's a good point. In fact I'm not sure the square slider would fit inside the tombstone caps Oo .seebart wrote: ↑The keycaps look very Fujitsu leaf spring, peerless never had caps like that. Still, leaf springs are great. I'd encourage people to try them . Probably 3rd gen, then?

Yeah judging from the keycaps those Tandy are Fujitsu leaf spring 3rd gen. But I've never seen one here or elsewhere in a teardown. That same seller has another one for sale slightly cheaper but still too much for my liking, those have been unsold for ages now...let's see how much longer he's willing to wait. You know the procedure Chyros.

Oh yeah, sellers become a lot more pliable if you let them sit on their wares for a while. My Zenith ITW board and last week's Fujitsu are excellent examples .seebart wrote: ↑Yeah judging from the keycaps those Tandy are Fujitsu leaf spring 3rd gen. Fujitsu Leaf Spring, linear. These did not work with a Soarer's Converter. I had a whole bunch of them that went unsold and went back to the recycler.Chyros wrote: ↑If he said that they might be Fujitsu Peerless; the LED window placement is typical of them. Aww, that's a real shame D: . I guess it's hard to make FJS boards talk to a modern computer. They're such nice switches (and caps!) though...XMIT wrote: ↑Fujitsu Leaf Spring, linear. You didn't have any 1st-gen ones, right?

I think this certainly wins at being a mechanical keyboard.

I *might* have something in the shed. If I find one there it's yours for the cost of shipping. I had a whole bunch of these:Chyros wrote: ↑Aww, that's a real shame D: . Maybe the link to my April 2015 inventory was lost. Here it is again:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... zSi4S7ypc/
About 70% of the random boards that come up here, pop up in that spreadsheet. This is my inventory as of about a year ago. Since then, inventory has changed so much (sales, recycles, parts donors, etc.) that it is no longer current. Perhaps it is still a good resource for anyone trying to identify keyboards.

Awesome, I'd gladly take you up on that . Ever since I found those two N860s my respect for Fujitsu has increased immensely! And a 1st-gen FLS video would complement the other two really well, I think.XMIT wrote: ↑I *might* have something in the shed. If I find one there it's yours for the cost of shipping.

It's a 5161, but why do you think blue Alps? Oo These could come with possibly more different types of switches than any other board known to man xD .

The only Samsung 5161's I've seen are with blue alps. Hopefully not white alps, esp. at $140!Chyros wrote: ↑It's a 5161, but why do you think blue Alps? Oo These could come with possibly more different types of switches than any other board known to man xD .
