I honestly don't know how much effect that has had, you may be right , i don't know. The main thing i think is , people talk big about leaving , but when it comes down to it they brick it and go for the stasis quo. Fore sure the murder has had an effect i just don't know how big it is.

The conspiracy theorist part of myself wants to say it was organised by the remain campaign to turn people against the leave, who gives there name as " Death to traitors , freedom for Britain" ! There is no evidence of this and its insane to say.
But do i think our government would stoop this low ? Yes , Did they ? 99.999999% no .

So why not refrain from saying it instead of seemingly innocently spreading that aberrant theory?

My great fear for the US is that when Trump's epic and spectacular fail is complete, his frustrated horde of crazies will go on a scorched-earth campaign like we have never seen before.

Other countries should not even consider leaving the EU,
who want to talk about such ugly things like Italexit, Maltexit or (shiver!) Luxexit?

they will have to do it together

HA! Well I prefer to see the Brexit win by a small margin than the other way around. What a message if 52% decided to stay. That would really silence the Brexit faction and mend all the conflicts between EU and UK.

Now we can all see what happens if a long time member of the EU decides to leave - from a relatively safe distance (if you're not British lawl) and no matter how it turns out, we can learn from their experience.

Britain never really commited to the EU and this vote just shows me they haven't accepted their new, post-WW2 role/position in the world. Let's hope this will not end in total desaster for Britain and be a wakeup call for many anti-EU factions in other EU countries. I have greatly misjudged today's world if a nationalistic course of isolation is the solutions to any problem.

The promise if simple solutions to complex problems is having a real comeback. Erdogan, Putin, Trump, Brexit, Orban, AfD, FPÖ ... Religion & Nationalism provide a safe haven and simple solutions for people feeling lost or left behind in today's world. Neither has ever lead to success and prosperity, overcoming them was the big success of the 20th century. Guess some lessons were lost along the way and it's time for another lap.

When someone says “75% chance of rain tomorrow” and it doesn’t rain, that doesn’t mean the prediction was “utter bollocks”.
