Seen it before somewhere but not recently I don't think. It looks like wiki/Futaba_simplified_linear based on the round shape and parallel pins.//gainsborough wrote: ↑This might have been posted already. No idea what it even is.

I sold a similar George Risk keyboard a few months ago and the switches look the same. I didn't like the way the switches felt, but the keycaps are glorious. Here's the one I sold: http://imgur.com/a/Mzr3wBlaise170 wrote: ↑Seen it before somewhere but not recently I don't think. I complained about this seller a few pages back...bought for a fraction of the price, cancelled on me, then relisted for $300...glad to see prices are going down though. Don't recommend dealing with that ebayer.. old shite!ohaimark wrote: ↑New-in-bag Blue Alps, and those doubleshots might be thick ones (not sure):

The old one has a stupid small modern spacebar with large windows and menu keys , this is common for all keyboards post windows 95.
Unicomp did what everyone should have done from the start and put a 1x1 windows key between left Ctl and alt and a 1x1 menu key between the right alt and ctl without altering the spacebar size
it only took 20 years for people to realise how stupid that was , good job unicomp

They certainly aren't using Cherry legends. Monterey's profile always reminded me of Cherry but with a blocky font. I'm thinking this might be the same.ohaimark wrote: ↑New-in-bag Blue Alps, and those doubleshots might be thick ones (not sure):

These might be thick but it'd be a gamble, especially for that price.

New one which is actually more similar to the original one . And I agree, I prefer it to the one being sold.andrewjoy wrote: ↑ You mean the crap bottom row ? New one is way better
The original IBM has 1.5U Ctrl and Alt keys, and empty space for 1U key between them.tentator wrote: ↑But on the picture of that Slovenian model m up there I do not se 1u win and menu keys or do I see that wrong?
Unicomp old style (as seen in the listing) has 1.25U Ctrl, Alt, Menu and Win and shorter spacebar.
Unicomp later decided to go back to the original IBM layout and just put a 1U key between Ctrl and Alt (win on left, menu on right). They also have offer this layout with a shorter space bar and 1.25U win key on the right.
(refer to http://www.pckeyboard.com/mm5/graphics/ ... -25-13.pdf; maybe some sizes are wrong, but I think that is it in essence)

If you look closely you can see that andrew just put the caps onto the winkeyless tabs for illustrative purposes. They don't actually work.

Ahahah so true!
You know when you dream a thing so much that you could easily see it for real?
But to be honest this amazing forum also is making me believe because there are so many ideas and DIYer's that it's so close!

Speaking of which, if you can't pay for your damn auction don't bid on something. Buyer asked if he could get a few days to pay... Well no, I'll be about 1000 miles away in a few days. That's why I'm selling it.

I was so pissed off when a certain member of a certain forum won my Monterey K101 for $220 and said "I didn't expect to win" and told me he planned on buying another board instead.Blaise170 wrote: ↑Speaking of which, if you can't pay for your damn auction don't bid on something. Get the hell out of here, that's not how you bid on items, dude. You do not bid unless you can (or intend to) pay for that item.

I'm usually pretty lenient with auctions and I don't mind giving a couple of days (I've asked sellers before myself) but I literally cannot wait any amount of time.
Edit: Wait wait wait. Excuse me?

Did you ever sell that Monetery board?
And Blaise, seriously, it's pretty bad form for a buyer to ask for 'a few days' to pay for an item--heck, it's something they warn you about in anti-scammer videos. You're pretty much completely in the right, and sorry you've had to deal with that.

I have asked for extensions, too, but the nature of actual auctions is different from straight sales.Blaise170 wrote: ↑

The longer I sell on ebay, the more I stick to "Buy-it-Now / Immediate Payment Required" so that even if I am starting high and dropping periodically, I know that when it is done, it is done.
