Whew... I was hoping that was the case, but I've seen some pretty asinine things before. [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND COLD SWEAT]zslane wrote:Yes, nateth. Stick around a while longer; you'll get used to 7bit's sense of humor.

7bit, this is another reminder that my invoice says I owe $109.65, but I paid the remaining $129.00 to mashby on June 8th. Looks like a couple kits decreased in price since. Should I be concerned that this payment hasn't been recognized for almost 3 months?

Yeah and I wonder what part of the money spent actually counts towards your rank. My ranking money spent isn't equal to the value or locked or shipped items Also not equals the money paid (and accounted, SEPA biiiitches !)

It is all grpup buys combined. Also, there is a fixed currency conversion formula to make things easier (how else to compare USD and EUR payments). And finally, the bot looks up a list that is only updated once in a while ...

Uhm ... very simple. I suggest it here and in about 3-4 weeks there is a bot in the #deskthority IRC channel that I can pm for realtime ordering and status updates.
Naw seriously, people can just link their order to an IRC nick (register that nick, fools) and then you run an IRC bot that customers can pm from their registered "order-nick" and the bot will reply with order details parsing your order files
and you can also send keywords to the bot to update your order. Just like the current pm/mail system just through an irc interface.

That would be amazing Wodan,
but how would you link your order to your nick?
I guess the best solution to avoid privacy and nicks troubles would be to register the nick/password on the IRC server with the order id and a generated password, then send these by email along the invoice. To avoid nicks clashes on an already existing server I'm afraid you'll have to set up an IRC server (something like that http://www.ircd-hybrid.org).
Then adapt your bot to the server. I guess it all depends in which language the script is written in for easier conversion but that part shouldn't be too hard.

The #deskthority IRC channel already runs on (CRRAAAPPY) freenode.net and your nick is VERY likely taken.
To link your order with your IRC nick just PM the bot with

I give it a few days and when there is no PayPal proxy, I will send everybody an invoice with bank account information. This will be the only payment method, except for people in the USA who can pay via Google Wallet.
