I think by the time you factor in switches caps and cases there will be lots of unique keyboards out there.litster wrote:Those ISO Phantoms are going to be rare collectors' items in the future!
I'd imagine out of the few ISO not all with be UK either
But nobody would be willing to part with one after all the work, and nobody would be willing to pay a premium for the product!
I'll bet mine isn't even built and someone releases a tkl board with a layout that takes cherry doubleshots..

This will use my first selfdesigned CNC part(s) and it is my first major soldering project.
The emotional value has no price for me. If I enjoy this project or hate it will perhaps decide what line of work I'm going to continue with.
I'm currently in College studying CNC and production development. So far I've yet to decide what I want to go with as I the study two parallel courses at the same time. This will be a seriously important project for me.
I just realised this as I wrote it... This might be the most important purchase/project of my life...

I guess I'm going to understand that in a few years.
Right now I see them as spawn of satan, and not as an adorable kid that most parents probably do.
You always hear that a father changes when he sees his kid for the first time, I guess that's whats going to happen to me

As far as I know, I will have to get some money from BiNiaRiS because the switches are more expensive and there are fewer people paying me.mintberryminuscrunch wrote:you just want me to order more :/

It would be ideal if the EUR would go down to 1.2 USD or even lower when BiNiaRiS sends some funds for the switches. Then the EUR must go up to 1.4 USD or higher to make Round 4 switches cheap for us Europeans!

Nothing has been ordered yet!dirge wrote:7bit, pondering making two....
TEENSY 1
PHANTOM 1
PHANSI 1
STAB700 1
STAB200 5
DIODE 100
How much? (and is this enough - minus caps/switches for a full setup) and possible to add at this stage?
Just order.
Let's see: PHANTOM, TEENSY, PHANSI (uhhh...), STAB700, STAB200 ...
ANSI tenkeyless requires only 4 STAB200 but I don't want to stop you from ordering a spare.
DIODEs, just the switches are missing.
All are available in any quantity you like.
I will order switches on Tuesday, BTW.

Well it's not so easy. I would like the ANSI one with WIN keys (ANSIWIN layout I guess) but I have no filco, so it leaves me with a caseless keyboard lol
I'm looking for some custom cases but I don't seem to find any.

Real men use real keyboards without cases!
BTW: You can use the cardboard case (delivered with the Phantom for free), or order litster's acrylic glass case later.
