Started watching that yesterday and got about 47 minutes in before I realised there was a 10 hour version, so I started again with that video.Wodan wrote: ↑<Harambe>

Who cares about some stupid company trying to make a quick buck off of the mass paranoia. S&P 500 in UK is nearly highest in 5 years and quickly rose back up after the speculators bet against brexit. Look at some real indicators, not a fucking chocolate bar.Wodan wrote: ↑.
Inb4 GBP - lower currency doesn't necessarily mean a bad thing. Considering the UK's success I have full confidence in them being able to make the most out of it.
UK doesn't need Germany to be successful. They gave you a big middle finger once again and you're butthurt about it. Get over it.

Both the US and the UK turning away from free trade and open markets leaves more cake for the other nations. Restricting trade and trade wars just further weakens your economy. The tough competition of global trade is very helpful to force your industries to stay sharp and competitive.
Best example is Switzerland, they have really suffered from the extreme rise of their currency over the years and were forced to further optimize their products and production, become even more competitive to stay afloat ... low exchange rates just kindle a huge straw fire and leave nothing but ashes after the low exchange rate has become normality.
Anyway ... I hope HK, SIG, Walter and Glock have already increased their production

They aren't turning away from "free trade" and "open markets". They are turning away from open markets within Europe (which is really Germany and France as most other countries are so small they're irrelevant or have low purchasing power) so they can open up BETTER trade deals without the hassle of EU bureaucracy.
Thanks for the link. Slow day at work today, so I'll enjoy this one.002 wrote: ↑Not as good as tonight's going to be

Just about 90% of his plans are completely unrealistic (such as the wall, bringing back production jobs in the US, IDing muslims etc.). Statements that generate publicity. If you mean in regards to military support for Europe, I actually agree with him. Why would the US pay for our defense? I don't even support Trump btw. But a Clinton defeat is a plus in my eyes.Wodan wrote: ↑You have no idea what Donald Trump has planned right?adhoc wrote: ↑They aren't turning away from "free trade" and "open markets". So either he and his supporters know that and they are liars,
or they don't know it and they are gullible idiots.
I'd rather be a leftie

I was hopeful that the 35-year nightmare that began when Reagan took office was finally winding down.
Instead, the Frankenstein monster that the Republican elite has been breeding and nurturing for at least 2 generations lurched out of the laboratory last night.

That in light of the Trump election Dida Bohlen (an oldish pesky german Pop singer) has chances of becoming the next German chancellor which would be MUCH more insane than Trump.

No, he is not and should never be involved in any politics, not because of the hair but rather the guy is a little "whack". In that 80s pic the guy in the pink BTW.002 wrote: ↑Is he actually involved in any way in politics or it's just a silly joke because of his hair?

What’s particularly trumpesque about him:
[…] He has been a judge on all the seasons of the talent show Deutschland sucht den Superstar […]. He is criticized for controversial and insulting comments ("You sing like a garden gnome on ecstasy", "Your voice sounds like Kermit getting his ass kicked"). […]

The problem with the US is that it can't really compete with other nations' manufacturing costs, particularly in the Asian sphere.
Workers here demand more money and benefits, leading companies to move overseas. I thought that rising oil costs would drive work back here, but then the barrel price dropped under Obama.
I guess Trump sees tariffs and a trade war as the only way to revitalize the American manufacturing sector. "Make foreign labor so expensive that we need to build shit here." I don't think he's wrong, but I am concerned about the fallout from such a decision.
