Those in the USA can get one to their door for as little as $30.04 total.

Add another $30-50 for a converter to get the thing working and you got a pretty decent brand new board for a pretty reasonable price. Get em before they're gone!
This came in today. Pretty awesome board. Hopefully I can get it working.

A NIB Apple M0110A: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Macintosh-Plus-M ... 2657227976 Obviously way too expensive.
Is this really how they look, when not yellowed or is it just the lighting?

He has dozens of SSK's on stand-by and is selling them one by one.
He's a friend of mine, drop him an email on his personal email address and he'll likely do you a deal
patrick@midwrc.net
The thing worrying me is that it seems like he's been auctioning the same boards over and over. See his sales history:

IBM 1392934 Model M Space Saver PS/2 Clicky Keyboard 01-14-92
IBM 1391472 Model M Space Saver PS/2 Clicky Keyboard 12-02-92 ('A' listed first time)
IBM 1392934 Model M Space Saver PS/2 Clicky Keyboard 08-05-92
IBM 1397681 Model M PS/2 Space Saver Clicky Keyboard 11-18-92
IBM 1392934 Model M Space Saver PS/2 Clicky Keyboard 09-17-91 ('B' listed first time)
IBM 1392934 Model M Space Saver PS/2 Clicky Keyboard 09-17-91 (B again)
IBM 1392934 Model M Space Saver PS/2 Clicky Keyboard 09-17-91 (B again)
IBM 1391472 Model M Space Saver PS/2 Clicky Keyboard 12-02-92 (A again)
IBM 1391472 Model M Space Saver PS/2 Clicky Keyboard 12-02-92 (A again)
IBM 1392934 Model M Space Saver PS/2 Clicky Keyboard 09-17-91 (B again)

Either he's just really lazy and reuses the descriptions, dates and pictures; or he happens to have a stash of boards all built on very few dates (?); or he hasn't sold as many different SSK as his sales history would indicate at first glance.

If he's a friend of yours I'm sure there's a good explanation, I'd just like to know what it is.
He reuses the pictures as far as i can tell. But his boards all range between 1991 and 1993

Complete IBM/Lexmark Model M in US (Pennsylvania) on ebay @ a good price.

You could get a full set of key caps and a case for your M/F for considerably less than buying them from Unicomp.

It's a little light but it is a platinum version which is a different colour than the normal beige ones. The Platinum Macintosh Plus came a little later than the beige version. The Macintosh case matched the platinum color.

Hey,

Does anyone know which switches are in this keyboard? They look like Alps Integrated Domes to me, but the vivid green slider color is throwing me off. I'm also not even sure what brand the keyboard is.

Thanks!

I'm not sure what the brand is, but they're just some generic dome over slider switches. I advise passing.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! I wasn't too interested in buying it, the bright colors just piqued my curiosity hehe.

I think it isn't too different from BTC switches, which were produced with a number of different slider colors depending on (and this is a guess) whatever color of appropriate plastic was cheapest at a given time.

Looks like a fairly clean board - I've seen those cruciform mounts before. Are they just another slider over dome?

I'm sure someone out there will pay $700 for a Beamspring but that someone isn't me.

Really nice board, and if it is in great condition as it looks, I wouldn't be surprised if someone grabs it. There's a best offer options as well.

And if model M went for over $250, as suggested by this listing, anything is possible

The prices on some of this IBM stuff lately is astounding, however the price of ssks seems to be steadily dropping. The one I sold, admittedly in pretty poor condition, but bolt modded only fetched about 200$. Hopefully the meteoric rise of beamspring prices hits its peak soon and starts to come down, because I, and Im sure many others would love to get their hands on one, but 700$ is highly unreasonable.

Unbelievable.

And I posted a complete working IBM/Lexmark M on ebay for under $40 shipped US, a day or 2 ago on Geekhack, and it is still there.

And it seems to me as well, that there is a bit of slouch in demand for SSKs

Kinda feels like we've hit peak Model M, especially if even the SSK is starting to decline in demand.

Hey if anyone is looking to get rid of their SSK at a lower price, hit me up :P

I just ordered one of those NIB Zenith SWA 4300 with ITW switches - pretty sure it's one of the small batch Chyros got his from, as the S/N on it is only 20 or 30 numbers off. I love Topre, and I love unique, vintage NIB boards with rare switches - so this should be a great recipe of a keyboard for me!

I've seen that listing before and am pretty sure that it has been up for at least a year.

I never had luck on bidding, I got a really yellowed one in almost 20€ and it has white instead of cream dampened.

Pretty good, although there's at least one floating around that we know that's got white Alps instead, so it's not 100%.
