This is a very good looking design. One thing I have recently really grown fond of that I never paid much attention to in the past. I find it very benefitial to mount the plate to the keyboard case instead of mounting the PCB to the case bottom.
A plate mounted to the case, especially such a solid case, gives a much more solid construction. The size of the case should comfortably allow sanwiching the plate between top case and bottom case
Just a personal preference and something I started paying attention to.

Rivals the Koreans!
I'm glad there is an enthusiast / designer like you who are based in Europe.
By the way, you prefer your pretty looking branded plate buried underneath the PCB? Quite a modest hidden detail - I like it. It can be a pity IMHO if it is as beautiful engraved like the one in the prototype... One extreme example of added weight would be the brass poker weights of FMJ aluminium case.

I'm very much liking the new iteration of the case, no more awkward backward sloping angle for the feet, just a nice solid drop! Very elegant!

There are huge differences between tray mounted and case mounted keyboards and there are up and downsides of both, this time I chose to go with the tray mounted version to have the same universal plates, super compability and sturdiness.Wodan wrote: ↑This is a very good looking design. I might do a case mounted later though.
Thanks!Applet wrote: ↑Probably can't afford it right now, but they look great

Here is the bottom, so you can see how the weight goes through
I will have some other branding too.
Thanks a lot for the kind words!

Goodness me, this one's a looker! Bet it would work great with an Alps 64 PCB full of sweet, succulent blue Alps inside. I've got all that, just not the finance! Ah well, best of luck with it. A signature design for the 60% generation indeed.
