Force Graphs

There are some force graphs scattered across the web and different posts and wiki pages. Does anybody know how these were created or how to create one myself?

Digital scale, keyboard, rig with micrometer precision. Lots of manual work.

Force gauge, press, computer to combine the readings. Lots of money.

If they are provided by the manufacturer it can be that they are created from simulation. If you know the exact mechanics, you can simulate it.

I think that what ripster means that it could be hard to create a simulation of the buckling spring.

Simulations are hard. Measurements are not with the right equipment.
