It's Asian 102 layout, so that suggests an Asian OEM. It's not quite the same as known Deyi or Monterey keyboards, but it's the same general shape. No idea!

That's really a matter between you and your wife/girlfriend/boyfriend/wallet/house — if it's the last straw that breaks the floorboards, probably not. Moar knowledge is always a good thing though.

Money is definitely not the issue, however I dont really want to spend 38$ on a kb for all I know could be f&f. I will buy it though, and I will give it a wiki page

But it says Made in Canada! and I think Montreal is listed just before that as the city. I guess the internals could still be Asian OEM internals though. I'm gonna throw a completely random guess out and say it has Cherry MX Black in it.

[wiki]NTC KB-6151[/wiki] series. Since he can't get a keycap off, this will be a gamble — could be Alps, could be clones!

That is correct, I have not seen one with "Enhancer 101" on the lock lights! I have seen those RGB stickers on older keyboards before. Of course the seller calls it "Enhancer 100" not "Enhancer 101" ! FAIL.Daniel Beardsmore wrote: ↑[wiki]NTC KB-6151[/wiki] series. Just wait for b****a to swoop in with a sky-high bid at the last second...anything that could remotely have blues seems to follow the same pattern. I hope you get it though Snuci!
EDIT: It's also the same seller that just sold that Acer 6011 for ~ $150, which the aforementioned buyer got

Sorry, no photo for this one. In looking for unusual Cherry article numbers, I keep coming across a "MX 9000" - for example, here. The description is
The only 9xxx I know of are the G80-9009, G80-9013 and G84-9021, none of which have the right number of keys; and also the G80-9039 which I only know as a number. So - anyone know what this MX 9000 might be, or tell me what the 9039's like?
which sounds like a 81xx or 82xx, but considering it presumably has a 9xxx article number I suspect it must be more unusual than that.120 KEY BLACK PROGRAMMABLE KEYBOARD 3 TRACK SWIPE READER PS/2 CONNECTOR

Ignore Code Micro. They stock nothing, sell from rented lists, and declared bankruptcy over 2 years ago.

I can offer only this:
Model ML4100, article number G84-4135. So yes, MX9000 could have an article number > 9000. Obvious pun left to the reader's imagination.

Yes, I presumed they weren't active buyers when I found there were 3 listings with prices in 12 pages of Cherry keyboards!elecplus wrote: ↑Ignore Code Micro. They stock nothing, sell from rented lists, and declared bankruptcy over 2 years ago.
I have no illusions that I'm actually going to find anything for sale through these sites - I'm just picking up the little bits of evidence that get left behind from previous sales. Presumably the MX9000 board existed if it's got onto a rented list - actually fabricating a fictitious number seems a bit enterprising for the likes of Code Micro...

Just thinking... I don't think I've seen a 4135 before either. Is that one of the unusual 41xx with feet and an unexpected colour scheme?Daniel Beardsmore wrote: ↑[...] Model ML4100, article number G84-4135.
(Edit: of course it is, the wiki page is how I know about those boards in the first place!!)

I've always stayed far away from anything keytronic branded, their F&F switches are absolutely abysmal, and their rubberdomes are very average. pretty shitty as keyboard companies go.

I have personally nothing against their domes (even if i agree their f&f switches are nothing to write about), but i already have a great dome keyboard so i think i skip this one.mike52787 wrote: ↑I've always stayed far away from anything keytronic branded, their F&F switches are absolutely abysmal, and their rubberdomes are very average. pretty shitty as keyboard companies go.

Any idea if this Canon typewriter has Alps sphericals? It's an AP-7010, but I didn't find any info on it.

Does anyone know what switches are in this portable Zenith? I believe it was sold from the mid to late eighties and was their first portable model - that they had license from Morrow (MMD) and then used to steal/win a huge contract for tens of thousands of them for the IRS. The model name would help: ZFL-171-42.

My guess would be the Alps SKFL, like the later model ZFL-183-93, but I really have no idea. Here's the 183 with typing test: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8zELmSNq2M

Zenith used so many different switches, but it's probably an atypical Alps switch, yeah. Stuff like integrated dome, SKFL, octagonal, etc. That would be my guess. Zenith and Alps worked together a lot.Harshmallow wrote: ↑Does anyone know what switches are in this portable Zenith? Is a split spacebar unusual on a white Lexmark M13? If not, then why does the black IBM M13 not have a split spacebar?
