definitely foam and foil, the font and led position are both dead giveaways.

Ah, damn. But I knew it couldn't stay hidden for long :) I didn't even know until today that there are white Ambras with ANSI layout.

This is so bizarre. Is the reasoning that there may be 5 users and that any given key allows access to a single user pathway?
The one key on mine only fits one lock; the locks are all different. Therefore I'm assuming that the 5 pairs of keys with this one are all different as well.

Haha, sorry! I had never seen one before this either, but after I looked it up, I found that several more have been sold before - so your odds should still be good :)

Damn, those legends would be really nice if the numpad wasn't the embodiment of bumblefuckery.

Num Lock is aligned bottom-center, but Home is top-right. Even worse, End and Del on the numpad are top-centered-ish. Edit: while that may be an artifact of the legend length, it still looks like they should have done a better job with the numpad keys.

On the other hand, the alphas and Fn keys would look nice on an SSK.

Anyone fancy an XT? Here's one currently sitting at $10 plus shipping from WV. I'd bid on it myself if I didn't already have two.

Sounds like a super-failsafe control for launching nuclear weapons. Each key worn on a lanyard around the neck of a senior officer.

I think they're all aligned to left, with a bit of an offset, and some of these end up all the way on the right. NumLock is the primary legend so it got aligned to the bottom, and since Ambra decided to go the Apple route and put primary num legends on the bottom (to align with alpha legends), they couldn't put them there. Arguably it may not look pretty, but it is still consistent.

Yes, so you'll observe that BOTH the box AND the board label model and layout indicators have been FACTORY sharpied/blacked out. All on the up and up folks! And of course, Cherry MX Speed are definitely the most in demand switches, but you get them for the low, low price of 2,500 Euro BIN!

Ahahah...thanks Wodan, what a peach.

Yes but this is all about the high-rolling gamer crowd that is willing to pay huge sums if some random piece of hardware has the slime of their e-sport hero on it. Does not suprise me. :evilgeek:

Yes sir, I will behave myself. But you know what? I realize there are plenty of fancy, high tech ( at least look like haha) mx 9.0 and 8.0 for game out there still. Hahaha. Wow! Call me potential millionaire now. Ok! I know I need to behave myself. I know it!

Yes, act fast! Just go out, buy a permanent marker (as I previously indicated, my preference is Sharpie), and black out random portions of model numbers, then scratch a number between 1 and let's say 15 into the upper or lower plate of the keyboard....so you can always say it's ONLY one of x number of keyboards!! :)

You can also tell the seller of that 2.5k Cherry MX keyboard is a true neckbeard by the fork on his desk on one of the pictures!

Congrats!

Do the AT&T buckling springs boards all have different fonts for certain keys? The alt keys look to have the normal model M font instead of the centered and slightly tilted font the AT&T boards have. The seller also took both photos of the front on a sharp angle so it's difficult to see what the legends on the far side look like.

The alt keys are stolen from a Model M.

and by the way guys, I'm really disappointed by the nixie-caps in US layout.. :( really does not look good.. they where really kidding when they designed that layout imho.. thinking I was so eager to find an US nixie (remember I must be the only one interested in the caps and not in the switches so far.. ;))
