Some nice Cherry JIS layout boards. I don't think they're worth the asking price, but someone else might!

New IBM PC/AT 5170 (w/ Model M)
http://www.ebay.com/itm/322397251049
The price is hardly a bargain, but after selling the new Model M for $400, I think $100 for a brand new 5170 is quite worth it.

If someone lives in sweden I have found a few interesting keyboards on swedish auction site tradera
http://www.tradera.com/item/340854/2740 ... angentbord <--- keyboard from computer released in 1978, any idea what switches it has?
http://www.tradera.com/item/2939/273886 ... angentbord <--- keyboard with nice keycaps. What is it?
http://www.tradera.com/item/340827/2731 ... ntbord-ems <--- EMS branded focus-8000 with builtin calculator
I have no idea what these are worth so I just drop them here.

The first one is not Hall effect, it very very much appears to be capacitive, probably foam and foil (you can see the capacitive pads through the PCB). The Focus is likely Alps clones, and the calculators on these often have issues, but it's still a cool board.mike52787 wrote: ↑The first looks like it may be hall effect. The 2nd is white alps. How can you be so sure the 2nd is white ALPS?
I am looking for a board with clicky ALPS. How much would you (or anybody else) consider this one (the 2nd) to be worth?

Alps Dolch caps are lovely and rare enough to fetch pretty decent prices when they do appear. Easily worth the 300 SEK ($34) the auction is at right now. Personally I'd be happy paying around $60 (SEK 530) for a Dolch board, but they have gone for significantly more at times.ryvnf wrote: ↑Thanks!mike52787 wrote: ↑ The first looks like it may be hall effect. But that's speaking in general terms. This one happens to be ISO Swedish layout, which is probably an order of magnitude harder to find. So if you had that specific board in your sights, you could probably search for another 5 years without finding another one. So to the right collector, this is solid gold.
Not being swedish (I just live here) I won't fight you for it, but I can say that if it had turned up in ISO-DK in that condition, I'd have thrown something like $125 (1100 SEK) at it to make it mine.
In short, you want a great-looking vintage Alps keyset in ISO Swedish, this is as good as it gets.
