Not the same set Alkhar
I didn't knew lasered legends by Cherry OG could be as large as double shot or dyed ones
Here lasered from Compaq 11800 (w trackball) close to one of this set and the third is dye sub garanty Same caps, different light , different feeling, don't you think ?

Yeah, still really like the light & large print and the offset in some legends like vintage stamps (thanks I'm not collector in these at least!)

I bought another Model F AT, having decided that this was the best Model F option. The F122 has proven too unwieldy, the XT's layout too foreign after typing on laptops, and the Ellipse-F not yet bought.

Why regret? Was it for your collection or did you have plan to mod/scavenge?

I thought it was Hall effect, but it turned out to be a form of primitive Hi-tek switch.Ail wrote: ↑Why regret? Was it for your collection or did you have plan to mod/scavenge?
USD$90 or so.Phenix wrote: ↑How much did you paid?y11971alex wrote:I bought another Model F AT, having decided that this was the best Model F option. The F122 has proven too unwieldy, the XT's layout too foreign after typing on laptops, and the Ellipse-F not yet bought.

There's a chance you might have the really early black switchplate versions of SKCL Greens too (the Cream and SKCL Compacts should also have these as well if so).

My room is hardly the most neutral lightning environment, though that looks to be the case:E3E wrote: ↑There's a chance you might have the really early black switchplate versions of SKCL Greens too (the Cream and SKCL Compacts should also have these as well if so).
They must've been sitting around in the Alps factory for a while then, the original owner kindly indicated in the manual when the device was purchased: 2/10/87.

I think overpaid, but I really wanted a full board with these.

They don't seem to show up very often. I like blue Alps too, but I was not responsible for those going sky high!

Perhaps, though the cheaper ones always look like bananas, so.Ail wrote: ↑Bought NEC Blue Ovals from E-bay today:

And the caps just came! The font is regular Helvetica and not the IBM version like in the only other example of the keyset that I've seen, but it's not a big complaint. The alignment is mostly good and the dyesubs are pretty sharp! Unicomp did a pretty decent job with this!emdude wrote: ↑Purchased one of those NIB tactile Space Invaders keyboards and a set of English-Cyrillic Unicomp keycaps. Quite excited about the latter because Unicomp goes through the trouble of offering colored sub-legends! Praying for decent alignment!
