Just to be clear, my invoice needs to have this:
HONEYB/NUMPAD/BLACK 2
I already have one HONEYB/NUMPAD/BLACK on my invoice. I guess I could settle for a HONEYB/NUMOP/BLACK instead, but I'd really prefer to have another complete numpad kit.
Why, you might ask? Because I also want to put this keyboard together:

Yeah, me too. Dolch is one of my favorite colorways. Round 5/6 "Graphite" is basically Dolch but with neutral grays instead of (slightly) warm grays. I think an SA version of SP's Dolch, using GX/GE colors, would be awesome, but I'm not holding my breath. I'll settle for Round 6 Graphite instead.
Yes. I think I would go crazy if I had to rely on someone else to do them.Did you made the renders?

I discovered the whole mechanical keyboard movement a few month ago. Unfortunately too late for 7bit's Round 6 in particular. I hope to find some sets in the after market to approach the Honeywell and "Graphite" color schemes.zslane wrote:Yeah, me too. Dolch is one of my favorite colorways. Can you please tell us more about how you did the renders? Tools, models, etc? They look awesome.

Well, this thread isn't really the place to dive too deeply into the details, but I use SideFX Houdini to do all the layout and rendering. I created a "digital asset" representing a keycap, and I use 104 of them to represent a full-size keyboard, for instance. Each keycap node can be set to whatever family, row profile, color, font, or legend that I want, and positioned wherever I want. The various keycap and keyboard models I whipped up rather quickly using an old copy of Lightwave3D Modeler (with some massaging in Houdini to get them into their final form). My models aren't production-accurate, but they are good enough for getting keyset concepts across.
Below you can see what a typical session of Houdini looks like:

I know that the round 6 SPH and Grey are two different colours. do you have a photo for comparison? also how different are R5 grey and R6 grey? i was thinking of picking up some 1u blanks for my R6 order but i dont know if they would look good together. Thanks!

I believe there are some good comparison photos in the Round 5 Cappening thread. SPH gray and Honey GREY are very, very close. Very hard to tell apart.
Round 5 GREY and Round 6 GREY should be identical.

Thanks for giving us an insight into this. Well thought out! This topic deserves a whole tutorial [WINKING FACE]zslane wrote:Well, this thread isn't really the place to dive too deeply into the details, but I use SideFX Houdini to do all the layout and rendering. Hi 7bit,
I sent you a private message a while ago... perhaps a messago on this forum works better?
I just received the package for phase 1 of round 6, containing:
HONEYB/TKL/CADET
HONEYB/NUMPAD/CADET
HONEYB/SPACE625/SPH
HONEYB/SPACE625/BLUE
This makes me a very happy man! Thanks very much for your work on the group buy.
Unfortunately, the "up" key is missing from the package (it should be part of HONEYB/TKL/CADET)
I would very much appreciate if you could send me the missing key!

I would say yes, the only difference ist the 1.5u BS. You can see the number of keycaps (51 : 50).
And normally, all kits we can see on the Leftovers page are still available. Unless the site wasn't updated quickly enough.
