Damn, nice find. You got pretty much the same thing as the 250 I bought yesterday but for a full $14 less, v jelly There's also a similarly clean full 5140 in Nashville sitting @ ~$50 with the auction ending in 6 hours if somebody cares to find it and lives in the US (Since it's the full laptop and the seller's unwilling to part it out, it'll be super expensive to ship to Canada/EU/etc).

the 250 has nicer looking caps IMO - and they are doubleshot! I wouldn't bee too jealous. Are you gonna use the switches for a project or keep the board as-is for collection sake? Is there a known conversion for the 250, I wonder? Or the 5140 for that matter.

Velocifire keyboards have decently thick ABS (I assume it's ABS) doubleshot caps with translucent legends and a font that isn't totally offal. Idk if the bottom row is standard, but the whole board is so cheap that buying it for the caps might make sense.

They're made by the same manufacturer that produces the keycaps for a lot of the cheap Chinese knockoff keyboards nowadays. I think they're actually doubleshot PBT-POM.

Wat? You actually like the caps on the Videowriter 250? I mean, the 1u caps are nice enough I suppose, but the modifiers and function keys are just horrendous. In comparison, the 5140 had gorgeous dyesub PBT caps with mostly useful-sized modifiers. It's not even close.

I have a few sets of 250 keycaps lying around if anyone is interested (I'd obviously trade them for a set of 5140 caps in a heartbeat!). Personally, I think they're barely worth the shipping cost, but if anyone disagrees, PM me.
