I pulled the caps for an order; the buyer did not want the whole keyboard. I have not seen bright green stabilizers before!

(shrug) I always dismissed this as the factory just using up whatever spare plastic they had that day, I don't give too much thought to the color of the stabilizers. I guess the off white ones are the most "authentic"? I never see them, so I don't care too much, some collectors might.

Agreed, I just really cannot see any relevance in the color of these stabilizers. Reminds me of the rarish beige barrels.XMIT wrote: ↑(shrug) I always dismissed this as the factory just using up whatever spare plastic they had that day, I don't give too much thought to the color of the stabilizers. i was under the impression there where two types ( vertical and horizontal), and the different colours denote that per board

That is the way that Unicomp sells them today: white = horizontal and black = vertical.andrewjoy wrote: ↑

The vertical and horizontal ones are not interchangeable - that was very much a lesson learned the hard way

Hehe I recently repaired a M122 (fairly late one from 1997) with brocken plastic dots / messed up springs...daedalus wrote: ↑The vertical and horizontal ones are not interchangeable - that was very much a lesson learned the hard way
I had to rescrew the layers like 3 times, until I got everything working again.
It also came with green stabs for horizontal and white ones for vertical Keycaps. One earlier M I had once, used white and very light grey onces. I guess they switches to more colorful stbas for obvious reason.
