Let's not get ahead of ourselves. This August slot opened rather fortuitously and unexpectedly, and I wouldn't expect it to remain available for long. If we don't pay that final invoice soon, I think we can kiss that August slot good-bye.

Yeah. Maybe 7bit will let me just pay SP now and continue trying to get money from mashby.
I still feel like he's going to give it up. I usually have a good bullshit radar.
If not, I could always draw up a civil claim to get it. Would very much prefer not to do that.

As I've said before, I believe Mashby is a honest guy, and under ordinary circumstances I'm sure he would have paid the invoice months ago. To my mind it isn't a matter of trust, but a matter of reliability. I have no doubt we can trust Mashby, I just don't think it is in our best interests to continue relying on him to get the invoice paid in a timely manner.krutmob wrote: ↑I still feel like he's going to give it up. Ordinarily this wouldn't be that big of an issue, but this GB has already experienced intolerable delays, and SP's backlog presents a highly pressurized situation where timing is everything.

Let's pay it for the love of god let's just pay it. Please 7bit if you are reading this. An August slot of THIS YEAR, 2017, would be the best news that's happened since this buy started years ago.krutmob wrote: ↑Yeah. Excuse my delivery; I'm feeling an upsurge of emotions I didn't realize I still had for this buy.

Update
Just heard from Melissa again. Our tentative production slot is for August of this year.
I also think we should just pay it and get that slot for certain.
Let's finish round6, close it and never go back to it

If you want a refund, please first clear your order and ask the bot for a refund:

This way I know you want your money back. Using PayPal or Google Wallet for this does not work out. Most of you might even have paid to people who do not collect any more money so they don;t have the funds to send your money back.

@7bit
I know it is at the moment unclear if and how and when Round 7 can happen.
You are one of the very few who pay attention to details in creating key sets, and I (and many others) really want your Rounds to continue in one form or another.
Please let us know your thought, and plan, and strategies as long as you come up with some, we will try to make it happen.

7bit, is R6 phase 2 fully paid for and a manufacturing slot guaranteed with SP? Can you provide proof of this (like an email confirming the mfg slot)? If not, why issue refunds before things are settled with SP, especially with Krutmob saying you have enough cash on hand to start manufacturing? Not saying people shouldn't get their money back, but with other GBs competing for SP's attention, we should be fully paid up with a reserved manufacturing slot if we can. Also so that people who have paid aren't waiting even longer for Round 6 to be finished and fully shipped.7bit wrote: ↑@all:

If you read the messages above, you'll see that phase 2 is not fully paid yet and we do not have a manufacturing slot yet, though an August slot has been offered.doom2 wrote: ↑ 7bit, is R6 phase 2 fully paid for and a manufacturing slot guaranteed with SP?
This situation has not changed since yesterday or the day before. If it had, either 7bit or krutmob would have reported it to great fanfare.

If there is cash to do both refunds and pay SP in full, then by all means do both. But if it's a choice between manufacturing (at all, not just the August slot) and refunds, that's more complicated. Krutmob has already said (and even 7bit, on 29 March, said) there is money on hand to fully pay SP without mashby paying the $3.7k. Then today 7bit advertises refunds. So it's unclear to me if both can happen, or just one, or the other.zslane wrote: ↑If you read the messages above, you'll see that phase 2 is not fully paid yet and we do not have a manufacturing slot yet, though an August slot has been offered.doom2 wrote: ↑ 7bit, is R6 phase 2 fully paid for and a manufacturing slot guaranteed with SP?

If a lot of refunds are issued now, without more knowledge about the financial situation of this GB, it seems it jeopardizes the August slot that has been offered. Does it also jeopardize all of R6 phase 2 production until mashby is more responsive? Even you said we should pay SP right now if we can, without waiting for mashby to get his act together. And if SP is paid in full, would 7bit have the necessary funds to still issue refunds?
I guess I'd just like to hear from straight from 7bit what the financial situation is. Can we pay SP now to get that August slot and afford to do refunds also? Or just one of the two?

7bit is unlikely to answer you any time soon, so let me offer my take on the situation.doom2 wrote: ↑ I guess I'd just like to hear from straight from 7bit what the financial situation is. Can we pay SP now to get that August slot and afford to do refunds also? Or just one of the two?
With the funds collected by krutmob and Mashby, there is enough to pay the final SP invoice and begin the process of paying out Round 7 refunds. There isn't enough yet to pay out all the potential Round 7 refunds, so regardless of how the final SP invoice is paid, refunds will be an ongoing process for some time to come. Bear in mind that when it comes to refunds there is also the added complication of there being as many as three distinct and incompatible payment methods that have been used for orders, each of which requires 7bit to find someone who can handle refunds of that type.
As for paying the final SP invoice, the only real decision 7bit has to make is over which collector should make the payment. krutmob has indicated that he has the funds to do this right now. As I understand it, the final invoice is currently in Mashby's hands, and so 7bit would have to orchestrate a cancellation of that invoice and a re-issue of it to krutmob through SP. Maybe 7bit has begun the process, but I'm guessing not or otherwise krutmob would have indicated as much.
So the only real mystery is why 7bit is not having krutmob pay the final SP invoice, and then use the Mashby funds to start paying refunds. I think if 7bit wanted us to know the answer to that, he would have said something already.

Update
Mashby finally completed his reconciliation. He has the money. He sent 7bit and me all his spreadsheets and invoices. He says he'll cut the check and mail it tomorrow.
Then--once SP receives and cashes that check--we will be paid up. I have asked to be notified when he mails it. I don't know if I'll be notified when SP cashes it but I'll try to get in the loop there.

But seriously, those $3737.81 where really missing and even worse SP did not ask me when mashby will pay, it took until only recently when they told me that this amount had not yet been paid for about half a year.
BTW: Those cream and violett keys are gone.

We where paid up the moment when krutmob paid and SP already reserrved the production frame for late 2017 and now it seems to be August. Maybe in the end it will be September when they are finished, but at least you will get your stuff before Christmas, as promissed.doom2 wrote: ↑ I guess I'd just like to hear from straight from 7bit what the financial situation is. Those ~$3700 will cover grab bags keys and part of shipping and the recent sales of leftovers will cover refunds.
All I need are more people paying in Euro so I can refund EU people, buy package amterial, stamps and can ship out more orders ...
