I would have researched it if I cared... Mostly just dumped it here in case someone wanted to figure out what it was and buy it for the caps (which looked doubleshot + pad printed).

Pace VG-101 split ergonomic White Alps keyboard:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/282422590971
The seller accepted an offer of $60 + S&H, which I think is reasonable given the condition of these 'boards.

I've been curious about that keyboard for a while. There's another listing of what also appears to be a new one, but for almost double the price (I'm not going to buy it). Let me know how that keyboard feels...it looks to be quite adjustable!ohaimark wrote: ↑Pace VG-101 split ergonomic White Alps keyboard:

It is very adjustable except you cannot control the distance between the parts. Feels like simplified Alps if I remember correctly.

Hm, that listing led me to this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Retro-Vintage-M ... 2438774261
I wouldn't spend $250 on it even if I hadn't vowed to never use eBay, and eBay is useless as a reference, but I'm going to archive away those photos, as it's the first time I've ever seen an original MEI Microtype.
Here's another:
https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyb ... _switches/
That one shows the switch, and the eBay auction shows the rear label.
One thing I learnt about Reddit is that it's a dead loss. Necroposting has no effect, and sending messages in relation to old topics has no effect. I find topics that never reached completion, but you'll never make any progress with them. Worthless place.

It does have it's upside though. Lots and lots of new content all the time. Definitely agree that long term discussion is just non-existent which sucks.Daniel Beardsmore wrote: ↑One thing I learnt about Reddit is that it's a dead loss. Yep, in a lot of ways, Deskthority and Reddit are polar opposites. Reddit is the anti-wiki. But I do enjoy going there from time to time to see humorous posts.

It's easy! The first two weeks, you keep them unscrewed a little (1-2mm). Then, you screw them back in, and suddenly life is soo good againcookie wrote: ↑I never understood how people can live with those screws

Cherry-style dye sublimated keycaps for ~$55 shipped in the US:
https://sentraq.com/collections/keycaps ... bt-keycaps
I ordered a set and will follow up with a review. They're either too good to be true or such an amazing deal that I'll come back to you all flabbergasted.

Me too. I'm not entirely sure, but I have a hunch that they're using Leopold's OEM to make the caps. A different dye sublimation pattern would account for the Cherry-like font.
The basis of that hunch: Leopold-style caps (with their typical slightly italic font) were used on previous Sentraq models.
Otherwise, EnjoyPBT seems like the only manufacturer with similar capabilities.

I love my Leopold PBT caps. They're front pad-printed though and not dye subbed. I use them on my Novatouch.ohaimark wrote: ↑Me too. Found this before seeing it here and picked it up. Showed 37 views per hour, which to me was surprising given that that many people passed it over. Granted, the feel is somewhat of a gamble given how it looks. Could also potentially be white alps as there are a few examples of those out there I think too. The seller was also pretty clear that it is not tested and is not returnable, so maybe that was a turn off.snuci wrote: ↑Leading Edge DC-2014 Keyboard $99 plus shipping BIN

This is a rare one...a 1392464 Displaywrite SSK WITH the original box
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Rare-IB ... 2502546931
I've only seen these without boxes, even fewer with complete keyset. The price...probably too high for 99.9% of folks...however I doubt one will come up again like this.
...and a very yellowed Packard Bell with Alps, looks clean though. Blue alps?

Yes, that particular packard bell with pad printed caps is pretty much guarunteed to have white alps. The doubleshot models can also come with white alps. it is a toss up.
