I might be wrong, but I think it's Topre.Stabilized wrote: ↑Sony BVE-9000 keyboard: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/112391140611
Think these are Omrons (Alps mount)?

Hmm, I don't think the caps look right for a Topre board. Also a couple of threads online that mention it also mention it's Omron:kawasaki161 wrote: ↑I might be wrong, but I think it's Topre.

Also if you look at the LED windows they are square and to the left instead of the typical right and round on Topre boards.

Is anyone here bidding on that beamspring?

I'm starting to wonder if that beamspring will actually spike at this point. At this point I could kinda see it going either way. If shipping weren't 50$ I'd pay 100$ for it in a heartbeat.

Smart buyers will wait until the last few seconds to bid their maximum price, so I'm sure it will jump up near the auction close, but how high is anyone's guess.
I may bid on it, but we'll see what happens as it nears closing time. There will be other Beam Springs coming down the line and I have way too many keyboards sitting here in my office that are waiting to be worked on, so I'm not as eager as I might otherwise be, lol.
EDIT: The auction just ended at $384.00 plus nearly $50 shipping.

This is not a 'great find' in terms of price or anything, but holy shit. This just blows absolutely anything we consider priceless or rare out of the water at this price. Reserve still not met either lol...

There's a hoard of IBM WheelWriter typewriters on sale on eBay for around $100, all slated to "work well". Contrast this with most Selectric listings, which are mostly "for parts or repair".

Offers enabled, commercial seller ... I would try to offer him 75 or 100 .
Though my price predictions are weak, maybe even that is too much.
