A local contact of mine found this neat looking IBM Model M with some very interesting keycaps, many of them relegendable. Any idea of what this might be worth / a decent price to pay for this?

Depends a bit on the condition I guess, although some people would kill for the caps alone.Gnohio wrote: ↑How much would an old logo Dell AT101 with salmon alps be worth/go for nowadays?

I would say its in good condition. Nothing is yellowed (not even the space bar), there arent any major visible scratches or marks on it, the cable is still coiled all the switches work and its been mildly cleaned. How much do you think the caps would be worth then?

You should verify that they are the PBT variant, using the acetone test or some other. I have bought old-logo Dell 101s with ABS caps.Gnohio wrote: ↑

But, if they are not yellowed, even the spacebar, that is pretty nice. Spacebar yellowing differently from the other caps is an indicator of PBT caps.

I also have a pretty good condition Focus FK-9000. Has the multi coloured doubleshot caps and everything but it has some four tab white alps clone for switches :\ It does have genuine yellow alps for the lock light appropriate keys though. Its also missing the D cap, but on the bright side the calculator on it is fully functional and all of the display spaces work perfectly. Do you think it would even be worth selling as a whole board or do you think I should just scrap it for the caps and sell those? Keeping it one piece is tempting because the calculator actually works but then it has those alps clones In either case, how much do you think it is appropriate to ask for it if I were to sell it?

On one hand, it's in original box. On the other hand, the keycaps look heavily yellowed and worn.
I sold my OG MS Natural to a guy who collected them. Got about €10 for it. And that was NIB. But I was glad someone at least enjoyed it. The early generations of MS Natural weren't all that bad, only had a tad bit stiffer domes, which is why I sold mine in the end.

Thanks, with this answer I can live. Typing for test on the natural compared to a buckling spring keyboard felt like there is something wrong with it, but it helped me to learn 10 finger typing a lot back then.davkol wrote: ↑On one hand, it's in original box. Found two MS naturals NIB a while ago at the recycling centre. Didn't even bother to take them home, let alone sell them. The boxes were pretty good though, I kept them; they're nice and deep so they fit big keyboards!
Hello, how much can I ask for 85 simplified white Alps switches? By the way, there's a key cap stem stuck in one of the sliders.
Thanks.-

Hi all
Can anyone be so kind, to give me a price check on my whitefox keyboard ? Its a very nice keyboard, but sadly i just couldnt get use to the gateron clear switches on it ( guess i should have tryed them first, before i bought it with those switches ) And its time to sell it. Instead of just letting it collect dust
It has a tiny scratch by one of the feet, other then that its in mint condition. Not used very much
Not really sure about the price, since it did cost a pretty penny, because of the damn import taxes to Denmark !!
Le me know, if you want more pictures

Here's my 1988 Model M. Any idea how much it would be worth? Label is intact and the cable looks almost new.

Whats is the part number? A pic of the label on the back would be nice to see. Looks in nice shape. Did you put any work into it like a bolt mod?morph wrote: ↑Here's my 1988 Model M. Any idea how much it would be worth? Label is intact and the cable looks almost new.

There's no bolt mod, it's completely stock.

If you disassemble the switch you can push it out with a really small toothpick or screwdriver flatheadmanna wrote: ↑Hello, how much can I ask for 85 simplified white Alps switches? By the way, there's a key cap stem stuck in one of the sliders. Thanks.
Just don't break the slider :p

Probably a little less than what it goes for, minus shipping/import fees. If I were you I'd just solder on other switches or just swap with heavier springs if it's the weight that you don't like.Grogak wrote: ↑Hi all
