As I'm quite happy with my 20-key Alps keypad (it makes an excellent Alps tester), I'd be interested in a Cherry one. The Alps one is a very convenient 5x4 all-1 u layout, but I don't know of any Cherry ones like that. Does anyone know a cheap Cherry keypad like this?

If you include the custom keypads, then you have lots of options.
One of the cheaper and popular one is the AMJ Pad which runs Hasu's TMK. You should be able to find it in either a high-profile aluminium case (or more expensive) or a switch-exposed carbon fiber layered case on Aliexpress website.

It's just for a switch tester, so it doesn't even need to work at all.
I should add that it should have plate mount, but other than that it doesn't really matter.

How about just a plate for mounting switches like this 17 key version https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com ... SY355_.jpg

I have the case, pcb and plate of the xd24. It has 24 keys though. Maybe the steel bend version for $20 would be interesting for you?

I should probably warn you, that if you take it without the pcb the variable layout on the right won't hold your switches firm enough and they will travel when used.

Got this off ebay for cheap.... half height switches but the mounts might be OK? should work looks factory fresh.
Available for free obv. Well, I say for free I might have a small request, nothing major.

I have that 17 key version and I can give it (plate and PCB etc) out for free, but Chyros is looking for a 20 key version.

It's just for a switch tester. Doesn't even need to work. I already have a macro pad.ruskie wrote: ↑How in depth are you willing to go? If you are interested, something like the planck keyboard could be interesting to convert into a large programmable pad.

Ive got a 10x10 3d printed switch plate I could send to you. Fits MX switches, but with some effort Alps would fit as well.
