Found a siig minitouch a while back however it did not have the blue monterey switches unfortunately. I really liked the layout but I could not deal with the horribly stiff ivory colored cloned alps in it. So I decided to finally put my orange alps to use from my aek which was far too large for me to use. I am sorry if harvesting it was sacrilege xD
I have to say this keyboard feels and sounds wonderful.

Not sacrilege because the orange Alps went from vintage to vintage. Very unique & upgraded minitouch now. Great work! I think Orange Alps is still my favourite switch of all. You will be very happy indeed!
I was lucky to get one of these with Monterey switches from a fellow member, which I just received. Can't wait to try it a bit later with the computer. I don't seem to be able to use it with the iPad as it will complay of too much power comsumption... I wonder if all PS2-USB active converters drain the same from the ipad... I can connect other keyboards like vintage apple ones via Griffin iMate or new ones with a straight USB-Lighting adaptor with no issues, yet the Minitouch/PS2Adaptor wont do...

Oh I am. I have a lot of keyboards, and I cannot tear myself away from this one. On the AEK, the sheer bulk made me prefer smaller keyboards, but now, I have the best of both worlds. If anything tears me away from this keyboard, it would be the location of the function key.
This keyboard simply feels better than all of my other tactile keyboards, so much so, it isn't even a contest. I recently assembled a keyboard with Mod-M's, and sadly, they feel garbage in comparison.
I fear I may be stuck with this single keyboard until I totally wear out the switches now xD The snappy yet light weight feel of oranges is perfection personified. I hate fanboying... but how do you resist after typing on these?

Haha! Congrats! Enjoy it in good health. If you are afraid of wearing those Oranges, Mike have right now some for sale. You should be OK for quite a few years though. Still... hoarding is not a crime (I hope).
(BTW, Typing this on my Minitouch with Monterey blue switches. I tend to prefer tactile switches over clicky ones, but these switches sure are nice!)

I am jealous, I originally bought this keyboard under the promise it had monterey blues, but that was a lie. Thankfully, I got it cheap, but I was still super disappointed.Montblanc wrote: ↑Haha!
