Definitely Alps, and a very early one too. Made in '85.ohaimark wrote: ↑Just got this Videowriter. Based on the period size and a few other typographical indicators, I think it is the Alps version.

No, I've seen Mitsumi ones. I can't find the link now.ohaimark wrote: ↑So I think that all Videowriter only keyboards have Brown Alps. Could be right, could be wrong.
Scarpia wrote:I've spent a long time poring over pictures (and several actual boards) of verified-switch Videowriter 250 boards and come up empty. I found slight differences in legend positioning on some boards, but unfortunately this was not limited to one switch type; I also noticed that some boards have text legends where others have icons, but this too was a dead end.
Looking at the underside was another dead end for me as well, so I've concluded that there's no way to know for sure.

I’ll add that while I did spend a lot of time investigating this, I only got my hands on a few actual boards, so it’s certainly possible that there are at least partial rules of thumb to be followed; the ‘Magnavox’ logo variant may be an indicator, and I was never able to date most of the boards I looked at, so I didn’t dig deeper on that one; so the year of manufacture may be a solid signal.

Right, I need to find that link from at least half a year ago with a Magnavox branded Videowriter that had Mitsumi switches.Scarpia wrote: ↑I’ll add that while I did spend a lot of time investigating this, I only got my hands on a few actual boards, so it’s certainly possible that there are at least partial rules of thumb to be followed; the ‘Magnavox’ logo variant may be an indicator, and I was never able to date most of the boards I looked at, so I didn’t dig deeper on that one; so the year of manufacture may be a solid signal.

Supposedly working IBM PC 5155 system, currently at 2k CZK ~ 80 EUR, but it'll definitely go up a bit.

I had a Rubber Dome Olivetti keyboard (can't remember the model name), and can say it is the nicest rubber dome keyboard I've ever typed, excluding Topre's... But it was on that level from what I recall.mannoso wrote:Two Olivetti keyboards. The one in the back looks interesting

Agreed, although recently I was able to get a Olivetti L1 with the Olivetti snap action switch which is pretty nice but other than both being Olivetti they have nothing to do with each other:clickityClackity wrote: ↑Yes, that's the one!! Olivetti did an amazing job all around on that board...
